Will tab this for future because I think it is true. This team will have major flaws in a half court offense and we can't close out games. I think WC semifinals would be a huge achievement with this roster.

Interesting, I didn't think about the Knicks. Could Bridges get traded from a place he likes for KD again ?

Also, I wonder if we could facilitate a 3 team trade that lands us better future assets and KD with the Warriors. Maybe he's interested if the trade includes Draymond Green leaving. It would be funny to see us trade our last 2 Suns picks for more Warriors picks.

Per discussion with @Hemingway earlier today (02/12/25).

Rockets could trade for Durant this summer and I suggested probably it would be 1) Jalen Green, 2) Jock Landale,
    3) Cam Whitmore, 4) Tari Eason.....throw in 5) Holiday + $600K cash.
Durant scheduled to make $54.7M in (25/26).

    1) Jalen Green, 2) Jabari, 3) Jock Landale works x Durant [ also works ]

Two videos discuss this issue. Jeremy Brener with Houston SI and Sam Quinn with CBS Sports

    https://www.si.com/nba/rockets/news/houston-rockets-could-trade-for-suns-kevin-durant-this-summer

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...s-like-for-suns-after-near-deals-at-deadline/

I wanted a star like Durant to join our two budding stars (Jalen Green/Sengun/Durant at the deadline.

I'm saying one of those stars has to be used to obtain Durant this summer plus some core players.

The two makers of the videos are saying trade both Jalen Green and Sengun to avoid
the 4 or 5 players for 1 Durant.

My God, we are suppose to trade both young stars (JG4 and Sengun) for an aging Durant
that can't carry a team anymore? See Phoenix Suns right now. This is crazy. Durant
would say thanks but no thanks.

The plan should be for us to drive up the price on Durant. So that another contending team can weaken their team once they trade for him.

Afterwards, we cash in on the Phoenix picks.

I mean making the playoffs with a bunch of 23 yr olds is already a big achievement. Yes the team will be exposed in the playoffs, thats what happens when your guys are 23 and they go up against superstars in their prime. Look at OKC last year had the 1st seed and got beaten by Mavericks. Thats normal process of things you have to respect the NBA a bunch of kids wont win in the playoffs.

Not sure why the goal post suddenly got moved now they need to win a ring or they will be "exposed" in the playoffs and they need to get a 36 yr old on his last legs.

same. Riley will do whatever it takes and Durant loves Miami.

Giving up major assets for a 36 year old Durant would be a MAJOR mistake.

Tari Eason? No way. Cam? Not even. He has more value than that.

    Jalen Green? No problem.

Everybody has their favorite Rockets.....even Stone.

That's why I predict the Rockets won't get anyone significant this summer.

Stone won't pull the trigger on sending out core players.....time to deal spare parts
at end of bench equalling $40M or more has passed.

    It's a Kenny Rogers song

KD on this team would’ve brought us to the Western Conference finals.

Trading Jalen Green for like a 2 year rental of KD is dumb.

They get a package centered around Brooks and their pick back or go elsewhere. Also, if Durant makes it clear he wants to come to the Rockets then they'd be lucky to get that.

Agreed, you can’t give up much for old man Durant. I might toss in a young player as well (not one of the top 6) but that’s all.

Trading KD means have to trade Booker also. KD+Booker makes sense.
