They're not trading him within the division so that takes out the Pistons and Cavs, who both have the assets to get a trade done. Brooklyn is not a contender, but I could see the Celtics doing a blockbuster with KP, pieces and picks going back to Milwaukee.

Realistically, I think a deal with OKC (Chet), SA (Castle, Fox), and Houston (Sengun, Green) as the 3 most likely options. These teams are in the West and 2 of which have no state income tax.

I'm not totally convinced Milwaukee cares where he goes considering his age and that they'd basically be going into rebuild mode. But maybe--some front offices do think that way and are over-optimistic about their ability to turn things around quickly.

Hard to see San Antonio getting it done unless Milwaukee is just in love with Steph Castle for some reason (I don't see why they would be personally, but I've never been that big on him).

I can see OKC doing it and I hope they do--I think them having Giannis on a massive contract into the latter half of his 30s thins them out drastically in the long run, even though obviously they become even more dominant in the short term. Does he want to play there though? Oklahoma, bleh.

If it's us, I hope it's at a bargain price. I'm really worried about what we'd have to give up. Maybe we can pray that the Luka trade somehow sets the market on "supermax eligible superstar where you're not sure if he's stay in top form".

Well he will be a spur now since they just landed the 2nd pick in the draft.

If I am the Spurs - after tonight I don’t really need a 30 year old Giannis.

Over the last 24 months they have added Wemby, Fox, Harper and Castle… on top of Sochan, Vassell and Keldon Johnson … plus lots of draft picks and cap space.

The Spurs have to be thinking they can be the next dynasty over the Thunder…. Harper, Castle and Fox is just nasty and Wemby is the top young player in the world… their defense with Wemby, Harper, Castle and Sochan will be LOCK DOWN.

Their oldest core pierce is Fox at at 27 years old… Wemby is 21, Harper is 19, Castle is 20, Sochan is 21… just nauseatingly nasty for literally a decade or more.

They still don't have spacing with their lineup.......the hierarchy is definitely in place and playmakers.

I would definitely target Jayson Tatum, Derrick White ex Spur, Malik Beasley. ____ Gary Trent....etc.

Yeah, I don't get the arguments to trade the pick. I mean, I guess you could argue Giannis puts you as a contender RIGHT NOW but at the same time man I feel like you're better off picking Harper and if he disappoints, you still have assets to trade for another star.

I think they should go for Ol'Man Durant.

Trade Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell and one of Sochan/ Branham or Wesley and the 14 pick.
Re-sign Paul and Bassey - and then flesh out the roster with the MLE (target a forward at either spot and shift Barnes as necessary) and vets

    Fox / Paul /
    Castle / Harper / Wesley
    Wemby / Bassey /
    Durant / MLE /
    Barnes / Champagnie

I can’t imagine what that Spurs team would look like. They would have to send out 55-57 mil to match Giannis’ contract or find a 3rd team and gut that core. It would be the big 3 and whatever lesser role players they plug in. Doesn’t sound like an attractive place to be where it might take a couple years to be legitimate contenders. But this all depends on what players they can plug in to fill those holes.

Many teams knew how good Harden would be including Dallas and Warriors. He played starter minutes and was ready to break out. That’s why Morey made the move. It was no secret.

Don't disagree but the thunder had a clear #1 and we do not. Different circumstance. I don't think our core is nearly as blue chip as the thunder's. Maybe there is some value in cashing in some perceived value now.

Spurs would be idiots to trade # 2 and likely Castle for Giannis. They are well setup without the need for big moves.

OKC would need to include Jwill or Chet which they shouldn’t.

Houston is the best most logical destination. Brooks, Bari, and Green with PHX picks. Bring FVV back but we must give Reed and Cam proper minutes.

Wemby’s body is questionable to hold up for a long period of time.

I think he ought to retire now, blood clots are no joke. We need to get Chris Bosh to talk him into it.

Chris still has the iPad, he can show all the medical data to Wemby.

I knew that iPad would eventually help us out...

We would have to include Sengun in a trade for Giannis. Maybe Sengun, Brooks, Holiday, PHX picks.
