I suggest that each and every fan of our Houston Rockets should read the article by Brian Windhorst
in which he expresses, in France, that his opinion about our team .

He believes that our team is out of control and that Houston is a dangerous fit for anybody, referring to Wembanyama.
The article was written by Josh Criswell of the Chronicle Newspaper. Y

    the article by Brian Windhorst

The article was written by Josh Criswell of the Chronicle Newspaper.

I love it when there's no link and two authors mentioned, as well as a newspaper that's paywalled.

The article is just aggregating stuff Windhorst said on podcasts, I believe. The main quote being referenced was this:

"I think Houston is a dangerous fit for anybody, because that team is out of control. They have have completely destroyed and broken down [head coach] Stephen Silas, who is a good man but cannot handle the renegade operation that has become. Pretty much everything the Rockets do is a mess right now, so if I were Victor, I would be a little bit worried about Houston."

    Article is from February.

    https://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/houston-rockets-victor-wembanyama-17804073.php

"I think Houston is a dangerous fit for anybody, because that team is out of control," Windhorst said during an appearance on The Tony Kornheiser Show. "They have have completely destroyed and broken down [head coach] Stephen Silas, who is a good man but cannot handle the renegade operation that has become. Pretty much everything the Rockets do is a mess right now, so if I were Victor, I would be a little bit worried about Houston."

Windhorst did note that Wembanyama "was very clear" when speaking with him that "it didn't matter" which NBA team drafts him, though additional comments spur curiosity about how he would fit into the Rockets' plans. Windhorst said Wembanyama "is going to want the situation to be completely constructed around him" when he gets drafted, which could pose problems with Houston's current rebuilding process.

Brian Windhorst clearly is not a fan of Houston.

Well that would mean that Wemby would be the savior Yehoshua/Isa and would be the ultimate day one superstar for turning a said dangerous situation into instant playoff team and up n coming contender

Wemby is a perfect fit for the narratives that the NBA can positively promote and hype up their new era golden boy

Alperen Sengun has got to be slightly happy with this idea...

'So the team will be tailor made for a center, with the center being the main offensive weapon? This guy is a 7'5" player? A size that is historically injury prone... So when he's injured, the offense is based on me!'

I said something similar a few times in the Silas thread. If he was still the coach and I was advising Wemby, I would tell him to demand a trade or stay in Europe. Even with Silas gone, Wemby's team will take a long look at the organization. He's too big culturally and there is too much long-term and corporate money at stake for him to risk getting attached to a dysfunctional team and not meeting his potential on the court or with non-salary earnings. He and his folks may say the right words right now, but they will be more demanding behind closed doors with whoever has the top pick. If we get that pick, the owner and the GM and the new coach will need to do a great sales job.
