I think we are already top 5 which is just incredible considering most people don't move from Houston so we have less transplants in other places than northern cites have in the sunbelt.

This is true, texans fans travel where as steeler, cowboy fans for example are transplants.

Are you talking about the TE dragging across the middle?
I think Rivers thought Cushing would be with him . . and did not expect Cushing to roll up.

That play and Earl Mitchell chasing down the RB on the 3rd down screen were just freakishly good plays. Without that Earl Mitchell tackle there is a good chance that the game would have gone to OT.

The play had Rivers initially having Woodhead linedup next to him. And the Texans with a 5-2 front. Mays gave a presnap heavy blitz look, forcing Rivers to send Woodhead for the hot Route. Cushing must have had some idea that this was gonna be Rivers play, based on a previous look the Chargers gave the Texans. The Texans wanted Rivers to hit the RB and not the crossing TE. Both TE released with Gates going up the seam and the other TE on a crossing pattern.

The play Rivers should've made was to the TE...However, this interception was a combo of Cushing athleticism, and play scheme. Rivers initially assumed that Cushing would remain inside to cover the crossing TE, and as the pressure(from Mercilus) came from the weakside, he thought he could get the hot route in Woodhead, only to have Cushing reading his eyes throughout the play. Terrific INT

Actually, the Earl Mitchell Chasedown was on 2nd down. He FORCED 3rd down and 2, where Rivers put it in the dirt about 3 yards short of his receiver. The Mitchell play was also the same play that Brian Cushing went down, and limped to the sidelines to the horror of the entire city of Houston. Luckily it just seems like he got his wind knocked out, but I know I hyperventilated a little bit when I saw him go down. All semantics though, and I agree that was a HUGE play in the grand scheme of things.

This video doesn't show it, but just prior to where it starts, Cushing adjusted his stance after seeing Woodhead in motion, so he could drop back. I'd give him all the credit on that play.
