Houston -- Texans top pick Brian Cushing was a spectator at Wednesday morning's camp practice at Reliant Park. An early report indicates that Cushing has a sprained knee and will not play in the Texans pre-season opener at Kansas City on Saturday. "He's going to be out for a while," Texas head coach Gary Kubiak said after practice on Wednesday. Kubiak wasn't specific and added that he wanted to get with the trainer and that he (trainer) would comment more on Cushing's setback after Wednesday afternoon's practice. Cushing's absence Saturday will mean more time for Linebacker Zac Diles. Cushing was already running with the first team and had been since the Texans spring and summer mini-camp sessions. Wednesday, he watched practice from the sideline wearing a brace. The Texans open the regular season Sept. 13 against the New York Jets at Reliant Stadium.
