There is not much to talk about after a loss. I will bet you that if we stay with the status quo, he will play big minutes in game 6.

Apparently there are folks that want to talk about it--if not in this thread, other threads.

Atleast Brian left a warm seat for somebody to sit in. So in the end he did do something :D

Didn't watch the game, but by the numbers:

    0-for-7 FGs? 0-for-4 3-pt FGs?

    Brian Cook.

    Second coming of Rasheed Wallace?

    d.a.m.n.

Man, it could've been Marcin Gortat instead of him in that Rafer trade.

And imagine him splitting that Spaniard in half with a Polish Hammer. :D

Now Rick, put Joey-effin-Dorsey in for Game 6. Oops, we'll have to wait and see.

Adelman must not think very highly of Dorsey, if he can't get any playing time... IN A 40 POINT BLOWOUT LOSS!!!

dorsey i believe is still injured

but yeah i've been saying since the day he was traded here that cook was complete trash and yet people said otherwise

i've stopped trying to argue with those who felt he could contribute to the team.

it sucks adelman has to play the guy when he knows cook is instant offense for the other team

Is it me, or is Dorsey hyped up just a bit too much by a lot of posters here.

First of all, Cook wouldn't be playing if we were healthy, so don't be mad because a bench warmer is playing because of injuries.

Also, were not coaches, we don't see these players every day. We don't go to practices. There is a reason why Dorsey doesn't get playing time. I'm sure if he was as good as half the posters believe he is, then he would be playing. But maybe he's just not that good right now.

    give the dude a break

he's a scrub that during the playoffs prolly wouldnt have ever imagined to be put in a playoff game against the lakers.

we lost deke, we lost yao, so he was called upon and had a bad performance. its expected from a scrub like him

yall are a lil too harsh

I agree. He did his best and shouldn't be criticized. The thread title is trash. The problem was with the decision to play him that many minutes. It would be better to go small.

Yeah, how dare the guy who was only brought here to make salaries work in a trade not be able to guard an All Star PF.

Why don't the Rockets have 12 superstars on the roster for cases when half the team is injured?

Whats more trash then Brian Cook? Our Superstars health. When we have 40 mil sitting in suits on the bench you can see why we had to play Cook. Don't blame Cook for being put in this situation. Cook wasn't brought here to turn the tide. This is our team at the moment and nothing can change that, gotta take the good with the bad.

Kyle Lowry had the exact same numbers in Game 2 with a big O-fer
    TRASH

    Artest is TRASH

People are just looking for a guy to pick on, because the progress of the 2nd and 3rd team units was all the fans had to look forward to this game

Not at all. Two minutes into the second quarter I was wishing Hayes would take all the shots because at least he'd take them near the basket.

The Lakers were supposed to win this game and they did. But it shouldn't have been so easy.

We should have played hard defense and we should have gone to the basket every single time.

Instead, after Hayes got two fouls, Adelman went to a soft defensive lineup whose only power was the ability to shoot 3's at a 30% clip.

    It was a panic move.

We should have stuck with defense and attacking the basket no matter what.

At worst we could have run Lowry at the basket every play. He knows how to draw the foul. And if it doesn't work, Landry/Scola can clean it up. I think we ran that maybe once.

In game five against the Lakers we should have run our top seven players until they fouled out or fell down. Brian Cook had no place out there.
