I was trying to find old contracts when you said that but could not find a source for that. That would be an interesting source to have... where did you calculate that?
It doesn't matter, if he's out of work and still spending more than he makes. Many NBA players end up broke within a few years of retirement, because they try to live above their means. Latrell Sprewell is a good example.
You're right but this was his wedding so it was a damn special occasion. Hopefully he doesn't overspend on everything, though.
That's right. The secret to financial prosperity is not what you make, but what you keep. Some athletes invest their money in assets that pays for the bling bling. Other athletes just buy the bling bling, and end up with no assets.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/cookbr01.html Look at the bottom in salaries. It only takes his salary from 2004-2008. By the way, I did not take into account last season's salary so his career earnings should be roughly 15-16M. He signed a 3 year deal 2 years ago worth 10.5M over 3 years.
Thanks I should've known that site with how much it's posted about. Looks like that sites a gold mine for information.
my female friend works in a bridal store and she was the one that helped brian cook's wife pick the dress. she said both brian cook and his wife were very nice.
I've always been a Cook fan and hopefully he'll get a chance to show what he can do. A long-distance shooting big should fit right into Rick's offense so I'm hoping Cook comes into camp in shape and ready to go. Surely he's got to know frontcourt minutes are available.
He is worse than Steve Novak offensively and as horrible defensively. How the hell does one become a fan of someone like him? Anyway, congrats.
So that's what he's been doing! It's not that he's lazy and unmotivated, he's simply "keeping his cool". Brian Cook, you are forgiven. At least he's repping the Rockets... For real though, congrats to him. He may never develop Deke level cheerleading skills from the bench, and he's pretty much pre-destined to be dumped in Memphis at the deadline, but it's still nice to hear some good news nowadays.
I'm sorry, but the guy doesn't deserve a minute on the court. He's a 6'9 non-rebounding matador PF who's known for his shooting and he can't even do that right. With all that said, congrats Mr. Cook
Yes.. I can see how this fits in "Game Action and Roster Moves"... Congrats to Cook and wife! (maybe the jewelery were rentals).
