I liked him better when he was just cheering on the bench. Did anyone else get the impression that he just doesn't give a crap when he's on the floor? Lazy box out to give up an offensive rebound on a missed free throw, and he never looked to move the ball to the open man. If he wants significant minutes as we get into the playoffs, he needs to show something more in game. Maybe he's taking it easy because he knows he'll get paid next year regardless.
Brian Cook seems like the kind of guy that when he is mentioned by GMs and coaches, they all just look at each other and laugh.
Brain Cook is clearly from the Jack Haley school of garbage time offense-- let it fly whenever you touch it.
Amen... I would rather see him clapping and cheering than on the court. He looked like a duck out of water on offense and the school wimp on defense. aka.. Not good.
I get the same impression and it should tick everyone off. There's no excuse for not at least pretending to play within the offense. I know we're stuck with the S.O.B., but Adelman should glue his butt to the end of the bench if he's going to play this way.
He should be benched for his unprofessional approach. Garbage time doesn't mean that you should play like a garbage player. Edit: I type slower than you Deckard, otherwise I wouldn't have posted in this thread.
I think he just needs playing time, but unfortunately, he won't get it this year barring massive injuries.
Its nice to have a good cheerleader on the bench and all, but it get kind of expensive to pay 3m to one. Lowry become awesome during the playoffs or this year for us to trade away a proven (doesn't mean good) veteran PG and to on a 3m contract.
Wow! I can't believe there's anyone who types slower than me. Two fingers, sometimes 3 and a thumb. My son could blow me away when he was in grade school. Trust me... I'm slow! Well, nice to know I have company.
i wish i cuold get paid 3m to go in during garbage tiem and jack up all the shots i want. that would be the life
I'm wondering if Adelman actually doesn't mind Cook shooting a lot during garbage time. After all, the only possible time I can see Cook getting in the playoffs is a last-second possession when a big with shooting range might come handy. It's an incredibly slim possibility, but maybe Adelman doesn't want Cook to lose his shooting touch, just in case.
I hope Brian Cook brings his A Game this season. We're going to need his cheering ability on the bench. So far so good, he already got T-Mac sitting on the bench and cheering the guys. I wonder how the new standing rules will affect Cook's game? Either way, I predict Brian Cook does very well this season.
durvasa has a very subtle sense of humor. I love subtle humor, the kind that doesn't hit you over the head and attempt to pound a laugh out of you. Having said that, the point remains that we have terrific chemistry on this team. Long may it last!
