great piece. I have one problem with it though. While I am sure that there is plenty of game tape of Carr making bad decisions, the one in this piece with the Raiders needs to be taken into context. Baldinger shows two guys open. both those guys were open short. The problem is that that was the last play of the first half of that game. Carr was looking to throw the ball deep, a hail mary. Throwing short would have done nothing. I know he still fumbled, but you have to take that play into context.

Correct me if I am wrong about that play, but I do remember that being the last play of that half.

We're the Houston Texans...I don't think you can get anymore disappointed.

With that said, I'm happy with any change at QB. That 1 clip of Carr missing 2 wide open receivers to tuck and fumble is a perfect example of why Carr wasn't the guy. We can blame the OL all we want, but they didn't make him throw into quadruple coverage that one game at Tennessee.

But that era is over, on with Schaub.

i'm probably among those. but i think that's part of being a fan. if and schaub is a flop and they lose , i'll be disappointed. just comes with the turf. i don't think there's any way around that other than apathy.

right...but he was specifically talking about the bootleg.

you know what kind of offense the texans run. it isn't changing. it's kubiak.

I know that we are running an offense very similiar to Atlanta's. And to say we don't have the personel is kind of surprising. Atlanta has no WRs, they have 2 good RBs (which we have), and their pass protection is almost worst than ours. Have you watched a Falcons game and see Vick running for his life not because he wants to, but because he has to?

My thought is that it isn't like the Texans are that much worse than Atlanta.

Atlanta did add Joe Horn to the roster and Crumpler is one of the best pass catching TEs IMO.

But I agree that we are that much worse (if any) than Atlanta, but it's all going to come down to Vick.

I still can't believe it took management this long to notice the suckitude of Carr.

Good luck to Matt though...I wish him the best.

Seems like a lot of hype to give Shaub based on a few plays.

A large amount of the hype is due to the fact that he is not David Carr.
