I was always taught since my Little League days that someone needs to take charge on throws. Generally, the guy at the base expected to receive the throw yells "Cut" or "Don't Cut" (or sometimes silence signals one or the other).

    Re: My pitching rotation assertions:

For some reason, I thought Clemens was going tomorrow. LongTimeFan bailed me out by posting that article, but I must come clean. :)

All in a days work ;)

Crunch time for the Astros now, let's hope we can keep up the pitching.

You might have thought that because that what was Mike Lamb said in his post-game interview with Greg Lucas. "We've got The Rocket going tommorrow...." - or something to that effect. It confused me too.

Ouch... hard to make up ground when the Giants are on a 6 game streak and the Cubs are on a 5 game streak...

I'm not concerned with the Giants. We've got 3 against them next week so in a sense, we have some control over them. However its will be very tough to catch Chicago. They're still 3 up on us in the loss column with an easy schedule. Here's to another cubs september collapse.

Why in the world did biggio try to stretch that double into a triple, was it a close play?
