well to add to the obvious, brilliantly pitched game by Oswalt he had a good performance taken away from him against the giants and got it back with this shutout tonight in first place for a day as well
Oftentimes, they show the collective number by adding up how many each player left on base (e.g. Bagwell, Kent and Hidalgo all leave the bases loaded then individually it's 9, teamwise it's 3).
I'm very glad Oswalt had that game. After his rookie year, I thought we had the next Pedro Martinez. Injuries and other problems have kept him from that - but yesterday sure was terrific. I hate Jimy, but am glad that he made Oswalt the #1 starter - he deserves it.
Hidalgo is now tied for the major league lead in RBI and Bagwell leads the league in walks. Oswalt and Miller are tied for the league lead in wins and Bagwell is 3rd in RBI.
I realize KoKo's been coming out of the 'pen so his arm strength may not be up to starters' standards, but the guy went 4 innings and only threw 50 pitches. That's great efficiency. Too bad he won't be eligible for the W. Good job KoKo!
well there is... but it's convienently blocked out on direct tv anyway channel 642, fox sports alternate channel but I dunno why or how the hell its blacked out here, figures though lol can usually get fox sports southwest too, but when its on alternate chans seems they black it out :| edit: damn backe is in now too, will have to wait until another game to see his pitching
Pitchers IP H R ER BB SO HR NP-ST ERA B. Duckworth 4 4 3 3 0 1 2 50-34 6.75 all in all not a terrible start for duckworth, wish he could of gone the 5 innings for a victory, but least he did a respectable job of keeping the game close before going out go stros
