I still have faith in Redding, but he has shown little so far to back me up.

Redding had a bad first 4 hitters. After that, his defense and bad luck let him down in the 4th.

Seeing eye grounder that barely eluded Kent's dive.
    Fly out
Sacrifice that Bagwell misplayed for an error.
Relatively routine fly ball to left field that Berkman stood under and missed - one run scores.
Grounder to Redding - no runs score.
Check swing double that even Spivey was surprised he hit fair.

The Astros have committed 7 errors all year. SIX have come in the two games Redding pitched.

After the first 4 hitters, Redding faced 17 more men. Of those 17, there was 1 walk, THREE reached on errors, 2 singles and a check swing double.

But isn't it ironic that the one player in our rotation whose psyche needs the most massaging is the one who gets shafted the most by the baseball gods?

Yep, you almost have to wonder if everyone is trying too hard and forcing unnecessary pressure on themselves.

Oswalt is pitching incredible. Anyone think he has a good chance at the Cy Young?
With Prior injured I think hes a front runner.

Sure, he's in the top 3 on a lot of peoples lists. Josh Beckett seems to be the front runner, at least he's been annointed that by the media. 2 weeks is a little to early to judge

    WHAT A GEM!!!!

Roy-O faces one over the minimum... 3-0 shutout... 10K's... game time just under 2 HOURS!!!!!

Best game I've seen him pitch since his last complete game shutout (which came against the Brewers in 2001... the game right before September 11th... the next game he'd pitch would be the one where he FIRST injured that groin).

Looks like the groin is feeling just fine...

(btw... its no secret who my favorite Astro is).

Did anyone see the strikeout pitch to Keshnick in the 9th???

That was one of the nastiest pitches that Ive ever seen. :)

As a team the Astros "only" left 9 on base. To leave 24 on, they would have to leave the bases loaded 8 straight innings.

I didn't think about the math, just saw the stat on the mlb.com gameday, they still haven't corrected it.

With the win, and Reds loss, Astros are all alone in 1st place for the first time this year.

Sweet... get the magic number going again.
