Josh Howard is a 3. We need a 2 defensively. IF, and it is a big if, we could trade down the pick and pick both Shelden and a player like Brewer, I think it is a no brainer. It opens up so many more possibilities for us in the trade and free agency markets.

Orlando is not wanting the #8 to draft Shelden. THey are wanting the #8 to get Carney.

If Tmac could move back to the SG that would be sweet, it is easier to get a long 3 than a long 2 IMHO

I think since Yao is more capable of dominating a game (with his recent rise to 20/10 avgs.), moving Tracy over to the 2 is feasible, even if it takes a toll on him, defensively. I think the balance is in favor of the Rockets when Tracy is at the 2, and is less when he is at the 3, that's when the Bowen-wannabes come out to shine. If we could some how get an athletic 4 with some swat-power out of the draft, and use the 2nd round pick on a swingman with an avg. shot (Pittsnoggle), we just need the MLE on a PG and we're set.

Unless someone has a better idea. ;)

They're wide open threes, so it's very good but it's not a "Turkcan Nachbar" ... a 25-25 type performance that makes the Rockets selecting him a lock. But for Brewer, where the knock is his shot, that's pretty sharp.

    Per Sam Fischer:

"ha ha, the infamous shooting drill. I thought that was gone with Rudy and Joe Ash? (and boki, mirsad, collier (RIP) and Langhi, who all rode it to a payday). Guess not."

The Rookies got rookie contracts. Not a big payday. Yes the picks were wasted and poor.

While I wish we had kept Joel Prizbilla and Eduardo Najera, at least Boki is still in the league. Rudy is gone - enough of the hating....

This is the best post I've read up to this point in this thread. Finally, someone that gets "it". Players having a sole position on the court is almost obsolete in the NBA today. With the rule changes and the direction the game has taken players at all positions are seemingly required to be more versatile and must have the ability to handle the ball and create their own shot.
