If the Texans aren't sold on Teddy, Bortles or Manziel then I think we should draft Clowney or Barr and draft this kid in the second round. Love his game. He's a gamer.
I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the Top 10 by draft day if he declares. Fits into the Cam Newton mold of QB, a bit unpolished so I don't think he could play right away like EJ Manuel for instance.
During an on-the-field postgame interview after they beat USC, coach Jim Mora said Hundley had good news he might be sharing. Hundley was right there with him. After he realized what he did, Mora changed the subject and moved on. Most people interpreted that to mean Hundley was returning to UCLA.
Very nice talent. Too raw. Needs another year. Will be a top 10 pick next year. Really wish we could trade back and grab Bortles or Manziel because I think there's a lot of QB parity in this draft. It's nice to have the #1 pick, but it's unclear who will end up being the best QB taken in this draft. The QB that's taken #15 could easily have a better career than the QB taken #1.
He is definitely not ready. Saw him a couple of times this year and he shows signs, but is wildly inconsistent.
Walter Football has him going #5 to Raiders. Don't see a way any of the real talented QB's make it to the 2nd. http://walterfootball.com/draft2014.php
Jags have #3. Browns have #4. Raiders have #5. Suspect that Bortles, Manziel, and Bridgewater are gone by #5 with 4 teams still scratching their heads at QB. Only if there is a surprise with Hundley or Mariota coming out would someone drop maybe to Bucs at #7 or Vikings at #8.
Russell and Foles were top talent. The experts just didn't know it. Rodgers fell in the draft. And look how long it took Geno and Barkley to get drafted last year and how early E.J. went. The experts didn't see that coming. Never know what will happen come draft day...
A couple of those teams may go after Cutler or try to trade for someone like Cousins instead of drafting Bortles. And Cleveland has a QB that looked pretty darn good before he got hurt. And if teams draft by best player available and not need _ Bridgewater and possibly Johnny may be the only QBs taken in the top 10...
He could easily be a top 15 pick, however, after the top 8 teams pick, there are not many teams that need a QB, and would be willing to waste a 1st round pick on a QB. So (after pick 8) you really only have Cleveland's second 1st round pick and Arizona that would possibly take him at their natural pick position. You do have to watch for teams trading up into the late 1st, but this could be a guy (or Bortles/Johnny even) that almost goes top 8 but then slips to the 1st pick in the 2nd round and is there for the Texans.
