am i crazy, or does reading between the lines of all these tweets make it sound more like they actually may call favre?
ha...i thought that might be the case. sure sounds like a bunch of vagueness going on in those tweets though.
so you legitimately believe that t.j. yates gives the texans a better chance of winning the super bowl this year than brett favre? and by t.j. yates, i mean somebody who for all any of us know is incapable of playing qb in the nfl.
Why don't the Texans go after Graham Harrell? He is on the Packers squad but is getting paid more than any other practice player in the league and is viewed at the long-term backup to Aaron Rodgers if they trade Matt Flynn this coming offseason. You can sign practice squad players from other teams practice squad to your active roster but the player has to agree to the move and not sure if Harrell leaves the Packers. They are high on him.
interesting thought, but he doesn't bring any more short-term certainty than yates does really. i just can't believe that t.j. yates is going to be the qb of a 1 or 2 seed in the playoffs. crazy i tell ya
Given the circumstances as we know them, yes. Based on his 2010 year (and 4 of the previous 6), I would say the same thing about Favre.
I dont think it would be great. Let the guys rally amongst each other. If these injuries would have happened a month ago maybe but not alot of time left for him to get in shape and build chemistry with the team... And remember this is a 40+ year old Favre.... I want to see what Yates has maybe they found a gem..
if t.j. yates were to win the superbowl this year, he would be the most shocking qb to ever win one, and will keep that distinction for the rest of eternity. i hate favre, but if there was ever a situation desperate enough to make it sensible for the houston texans to pick him up, this is absolutely it. it's a 2 month job, placed into a dream situation. the guy isn't going to rock the boat in that short of a stint.
Favre coming back after not playing for a whole year, coming off disastrous final season and 15 years removed from his lone Super Bowl win/appearance and leading the Texans to a SB win would be equally shocking and flat out, unprecedented.
silly statement. yates has gone 22 years and has never won one so i guess favre is still a better option.
