Houston's offense this year will look nothing like Sherman's offense because Kubiak finally got Gibbs and is going to make it a Denver offense.

I'm watching the NFL Network about the developing Favre stroy and who are they interviewing to get some kind of insight into this drama? Joe Montana? Ex coaches? Former teammates? Noooooo...Charles Barkley! WTF?!

They should be interviewing Roger Clemens...the guy who retired and unretired 7 times (or whatever it was).

Steve Young on SportsCenter: Brett Farve's legacy in Green Bay will not change if he plays in another jersey.

    ---

What is Young smoking? If Farve goes to the Bears or Vikings or whereever and wins, his legacy in Green Bay will be ungrateful, selfish douchebag.

So I guess you remember Hakeem for seeking out more money in his twilight and nothing more.

Before Favre's "retirement" I always had the feeling that the only way he would leave football is carried off of the field on a stretcher.

You don't think the fans will be more pissed at the organization for not keeping him? However wrong it is, he's basically put their ball in their court. It'd be unwise for Green Bay to keep him, but I don't think the fans will necessarily see it that way.

You're talking about a quarterback who took his team to the brink of the Super Bowl just last year being replaced by someone unproven and untested. That same quarterback who retired now wants to play again. You don't think those fans would want the organization to go after him, Rodgers be damned?

A lot of guys have retired and un-retired plenty of times and it hasn't hurt their legacy. And Farve's actions are not well timed (he should have waited longer to decide his future) but I don't see how it's ungrateful. Selfish maybe, but pro careers end all too soon, I think each and every athlete deserves to be a little selfish as they struggle to let go.

Huge Bears fan here (at least since the Oilers left), but I've always had the highest respect for Farve (even when Chris Berman said he couldn't pass - in the early 90's).

Although, he destroyed the Bears on many occasions -I always had the utmost respect for him as a player.

I would love to have him on Da Bears - as someone else mentioned it would be like when the Rox signed Barkley - before he was a Rocket I couldn't stand him (although I respected him as a player), but when he wore the pajama uni's I learned to love the guy (although I hate the negative comments towards the Rox he's made on TNT since).

The packers need to swallow their pride and bring him back. Not because he's a legend and deserves whatever he wants, but because they have a really good shot at making the super bowl next year. Favre gives them a much better chance of making it that far than rodgers does at this point.

It would be a travesty to see him play for the Falcons. They need a lot more help than Farve could give them.

The Texans don't want or need Favre - They have Schaub who at worst is competent yet injury prone and Rosenfels who at worst is confident yet inaccurate. Schaub is a talented player with a solid recieving core - Johnson + Daniels + Walters is enough to move the chains, and hopefully the addition of Gibbs can get a running game going too.

I love Favre, he's one of my favorite sport icons of all time.

However, this game he is pulling is bull****. The ball is in his court. He retired, then he texted Ted Thompson telling him he might want to come back, Ted Thompson says great and agrees to fly out to his home and make it all official, then, he receives another text. What, what was that? Brett changed his mind again? Damn!

Now, he wants to come back? If anything, it's his own fault for being so indecisive. I'd love to see him play, but under different circumstances.

Let's just hope it's not for another team..

You sure about that? What do you have to say about Favre? He's old but can still play the game at the highest level?

Why/how has it come to this? Favre had a storybook career with Green Bay. Why would he A) want to leave GB when they are on the cusp of getting back to the Super Bowl and B) be so stupid to think that his chances are elsewhere?

Which teams that are that close are only a QB away?

I'm guessing if he had his choice, he'd be the starting QB for Green Bay next season. It seems that Green Bay has moved on based on Favre's representations that he's retiring. So now Favre is looking to play...and GB is saying he's lost his place with them. At least I think that's what they're saying.
