To be honest I think his team mates are what really helped be better. He is still a careless gunslinger . He lost the dallas and giants game.

He should retire and go away. I guarantee he will not have repeat season.

    Farve is a d-bag.

He basically took his ball and went home, because he didn't think the Packers made a great effort to sign Randy Moss, his friend. No coincidence that Favre retired the very next morning after Moss re-signed with New England.

I said way back in March that I expected Favre to return, and it's why I don't feel a bit sorry for him. It's obvious he always wanted to play. It's obvious he can play. But he shouldn't try and make Ted Thompson look like the bad guy here. For better or for worse, Favre has that country mean streak to him, and he decided to pout and get his revenge over the Moss situation by turning his back on the Packers. But when the emotions of the situation subsided, this eventual result was obvious.

That Minny team is one quarterback away from being real good too.

I listen to NFL Radio, and they've been predicting this for months.
They predict the Packers will just waive him.

They said his agent was shopping him around AFTER he announced his retirement with the Packers.

Been a Bears fan since I was in a wee lad and I've hated no one more than Farve's Packers but would be more than happy to have him with my Bears, if anything just to stick it to the pack!

So he didn't want to retire, but tried to play for another team. Wow, they made him a God in Wisconsin.

only 16 years in green bay, farve is a douchebag for leaving them. he owes his career to the fans, not himself.

The texans should offer a 6th round pick and get Farve. He can still throw the ball, and he is a better competitor than anyone the Texans have.

NFL radio says Favre never felt appreciated by the organization and that the retirement thing was 'forced' on him.

Also, it would be freaky if he plays for the Vikings cause that's a MONDAY NIGHT GAME in LAMBEAU where they will RETIRE HIS NUMBER!

I can't imagine Houston would be a good fit.

    Pros:
Familiarity with system (assuming it isn't changed overmuch from what it was under Sherman).
Familiarity with Ahman and other players.

    Cons:
Offensive line still sub standard and especially so for a QB with declining mobility.
    Tough division/Tough Schedule.
Even assuming what is left of Favre is a leaps-and-bounds improvement over Schaub (which I am not entirely sure of), the Texans do not appear to be a team that is improved QB play away from Super Bowl Contention.

If Favre comes here I am going to take it as a sign that the NFL knows that the Texans defense is going to be SPECIAL this year..even if the National Media hasn't caught on to it yet.

Well the D should be good but with those db's I can't imagine them being "special"

the problem is if you bring in Favre your saying I made a mistake with Schaub and what will the Texans do in 2 years when Favre retires for good? Play Sage? Alex Brinks?

I'm sure the Metrodome will welcome Favre. Most of those Vikings / Packers games at least half the stands are Packers fans. Also Vikings' fans have embraced Darren Sharper even though he tormented them when he played for the Pack. Still doubt Green Bay will let Favre go to the Vikings. They are not going to want to see him twice a year especially to a traditional rival.

If they release him I bet they have to take a cap hit.

Looks like they are saying, "You are signed for 3 more years, so if you wnna come back, the clipboard is right over there."

MJ at 40 with Wizards was still better than every shooting guard in the league, not named T-Mac, Kobe, Vince, Pierce, and Iverson. I would say he was just as good as the two in the middle.

Brett is our answer he has the arm for the consistent 3 point shot! Plus he can be the play maker all we need is for Yao to beef up more to protect Brett.
