his knee was sore so he probably didn't initially agree with the team doctors' plan. why not go to the best doctor in regards to this surgery to get a 2nd opinion? he got it now. so get back on the court and play. i would ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion in everything surgical.
Get Well Barry and McGrady.....I really wish the T Mac haters would jump in the gulf....T Mac is our best player period...If you dont realize that you are not very bright... I am anxious to see my boy Steve Francis get a chance
Artest is playing worse than head on offense. He holds the ball when he should make an extra pass, doesn't shoot when he gets it right away as he's open and instead holds and dribbles after his defenders comes up on him.. then he turns it over in the lane and doesn't see open people once in the lane, or bricks the layup. ARe you serious man? Come on... one make every 3 jackups doesn't excuse the fact that your offense needs a LOT of work.
Luther Head... *sigh* I think he might just be the weakest part of our rotation and active roster. Spurs game aside, no player, reserve or starter, inspires less confidence in me than Luther Head. I don't know how confident I am with Von Wafer, but considering his age and what I've seen from him so far... I trust him considerably more than I trust Luther. As for the injury issue, of course you never want any of your players injured, but what I and several others are saying is, logically, if a player has to miss time, early in the season is best. Sure, being injured early increases the chance you'll be reinjured later, of course there is not some magic injury quota one can reach, but is there any other time that is as better for an injury to spring up? It not only gives the player a better shot of returning healthy when it matters most, late in the year, but it also gives the team an early opportunity to learn to come together as a unit without the injured player. This means that if the injury later resurfaces, the team will have already dealt with it previously, and hopefully the team will utilize the lessons learned early in the season-tapping into what worked during the injured player's first sabbatical.
Damn, Yao's mom should cook some chicken leg soup for TMac, they are rich of ossein and that's good for his knee rehab.
playing hurt for 15 games-soft player..come on man..you cant heal a sore knee by playing it when its sore..soreness needs rest.Plus i'd rather miss him now than in the playoffs.
Official Information from the Houstan Rockets Staff Writer Medical updates on Tracy McGrady and Brent Barry Dec 1, 2008 Rockets G Tracy McGrady was evaluated by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, AL this afternoon. Dr. Andrews confirmed the initial medical assessment of Rockets Team Physician Tom Clanton that McGrady is suffering from general soreness in his left knee related to his continuing rehabilitation from off season surgery. McGrady will continue his current rehab program designed to alleviate the discomfort in his knee. He will likely be out for the next week and will continue to have his playing time restricted upon his return in order to lessen the stress on the injured knee. Rockets G Brent Barry, who missed the last two games with a calf injury, was seen by Clanton this morning at Memorial Hermann—Texas Medical Center and diagnosed with a small tear in the Plantaris muscle on his right leg. The injury will require him to rest for approximately the next two weeks before resuming his on court practice activities in preparation for a return to game action.
You know, if they came up with the solution, if he has to miss that week so let him have it. We play Clippers GSW and Memphis. We should go 3-0 and hopefully we will. I only hope he will be back for tuesday or friday (at Golden State) and hisknee will improve
i'd hesitate to pencil a W against any team, especially the warriors. with jamal crawford, if they get hot, they can still bury you with 3's.
Team doctors also TOLD HIM he only had a bruise last year...he said he was hurt and it felt worse than that -- Tracy was correct and needed surgery.
Maybe T-Mac should fly out to Phoenix to see the Dr. he saw out there. He blew up at the end of that game and in his postgame interview, he thanked and made mention of a Dr. who saw him for his knee and shoulder and said that they had fixed him right up!
first of all, tmac is out only for 2 more games, clips and gs, and even tho theyre not gonna be easy to beat, our team can still get it done cuz of their depth. tmac always misses games, we just need him to play 70+ games. after this week we play mem, atl, lac, gs, we wont need tmac 100% to win those too, good time for him to get back smoothly. even if he takes another week it wont matter cuz this is our easiest month. shouldnt be out for 2 weeks but if for some stupid reason he does the team can manage. yao ming HAS TO STEP UP. that is a must and he knows that daam well. moment of truth this week to see if rox can handle w/o tmac. barrys not much of aproblem sine we got wafer to replace him, and luthers rediculuos 3pt shot.
Actually, he did have a bruise, the arthoscopic stuff was to clean up loose bodies....a minor procedure.... DD
Reggie Bush just had arthroscopic knee surgery and was out only 4-6 weeks. I have seen other posts where you have said that McGrady did not rehab his knee during the offseason and I completely agree. Others have posted in regards to this stating everybody is different and everyone's body heals differently, some more prolonged then others. However, its been over 6 months and he's still not healthy. There is something not right there. McGrady has access to the best treatment facilities, as well as, the best medical doctors in the country and this guy is still not healthy. If McGrady put in a little more effort during the offseason and the regular season we might be a championship team. Everyone keeps talks about the playoffs and how he performs so well, but no one realizes the team takes on the identity of its superstar(s) (and Coach in some cases) during the 82 game season and come playoff time while McGrady finally decides to actually play hard, the rest of the team doesn't know what to do because they are not accustomed to playing with that type of McGrady. The only way McGrady will ever get out of the first round is if he continually puts in a honest effort night in and night out.
Agree and very well said. He needs to get back and suck it up. With T-Macks luck the rockets will probably have to play the Spurs in the 1st round of the playoffs in an even year. They need to win as many games as possible and quit throwing games away. It all starts now.
