Good for Eddie..I haven't seen him play as a Twolve yet..except for the game against the ROckets..hmm good for him.
good for me too - thanks to Clutch BBS fans posting EG's line each day, I was able to grab him on my fantasy basketball team (great for rebounds blocks and 3s!!!) I knew all you complainers would help me out one day !
From what I read, Barry is in the doghouse/not playing because he is not playing defense (no I don't have a link - live with it) up to Popavich's standards. Funny, I don't hear SA fans whining; "get him some shots", "free up the offense", "fire the coach", "we only scored 80 points something has to be wrong, change everything". Pop believs that defense is critically important and is ingrained into that team. And it has been for several years now. If you don't buy into that concept, you don't play on his team. And that has led to two championships. Why is so bad that JVG is demanding the same thing?
Defense IS important! But the Spurs REBOUND the ball which leads to fast breaks. The Spurs DO have 3 scorers in Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. We only have 2 in Yao and Tmac. The Spurs also have guys like Devan Brown and Barry that can score. We dont. Defense IS important for the Rockets, but we arent rebounding and we arent scoring enough points to make our defense effective on the other end.
Maybe you don't hear them whining because they are on the hottest start EVER in franchise history. They are blowing out teams left and right, except for the last 2. All coaches preach D, it just that JVG ONLY preaches D. Pop is able to run the #1 defense in the league while also scoring 96ppg.
