The guy's given his heart for this team, and we've just got the news that he's pretty much done. And all you can do is rant on how he sucks and we should have dumped him.
In all sincerity, to rant like this now makes you a pathetic bum.

...or maybe the foot just doesn't hurt bad enough to him, so he thinks he can play. I wish other players had his heart...a lot of them sit out because of hangnails for pete's sake.

Unsurprising turn of events. In any case, the rockets won't have to worry about his return to the line-up affecting their chemistry. Such chemistry as it currently is, anyway.

I feel sorry for Yao. He was a very good player but his body just cannot handle running up and down the court anymore. Maybe the Rockets should copy the model that every other franchise is doing, get a power forward and convert him to a center. The era of "back-to-the-basket" centers are over. :( :( :(

I hope he retires so Les doesn't have to worry about even thinking about signing him for the China cash.

    Time to move on.

Amen to that, thats the only thing that is a down fall to players like Yao, Roy, and "he that is not to be named" deal with. They want to play so much, rush back for the good of the team, but they end up doing more harm than good to their bodies..and the team. :(

Well we can resign him for the minimum next season if his career is not over.

For now he's a nice big expiring contract. We'll see if Morey can get something Mcgrady-style with it. It will be much harder with the new CBA and no teams like the Knicks trying to gather cap space for a big free agency.
