I didn't think it was possible, but I think we've finally found someone on this board with less indie-cred than me!
Ok, I guess I have to let it be known I was joking. Between Brightside's uber-indie cred and suggesting he actually meant Bon Jovi, I thought the contrast would be funny. I do not regularly read Pitchfork, wear uncomfortably tight jeans, nor live in Williamsburg, but I have heard of Bon Iver. I will let you know I was a regular Matt Pinfield back in my high school days, but now I mostly just listen to drum & bass and resist the urge to jump on the dubstep bandwagon.
Sorry to hear about that...7 years is a long time and to grow up is impossibly difficult...you'll find that you both will change as you grow up, and that's not a bad thing...people's likes/dislikes evolve as does points of view...again, what you liked early in life is going to change later in life... XxShadyPinkxX, if you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm available and so is my g/f...we're both good listeners... Both of you guys are young, have a full life ahead of you and you never know, you both could realize you can't live w/o each other...You can never say never, only you two can see what makes you both happy... IMHO, marriage is the hardest thing, even harder than raising kids...it's a delicate balance between friend/lover/supporter/leader/follower...I think people give up too easily nowadays, not saying that's what happened to you guys, but in general...it's going to be tough, feelings will get hurt, but in the end it has to be more than love that gets you through it...my $0.02...

Bi Curious? interesting survey on OKCupid, via Gizmodo today. full article is here , but i got a laugh out of this particular insight: 12% of women under 35 on OkCupid (and the internet in general, I'd wager) self-identify as bi. However, as you can see above, only about 1 in 4 of those women is actually into both guys and girls at the same time. I know this will come as a big letdown to the straight male browsing population: three-fourths of your fantasies are, in fact, fantasies of a fantasy. Like bi men, most bi women are, for whatever reason, not observably bi. The primacy of America's most popular threesome, two dudes and an Xbox, is safe.
Its hard being bi. Other bi girls are usually either just curious and it leads to nothing, are looking for a third for their established relationship, or are flat out ugly/crazy. You tell a lesbian that you're bi and they roll their eyes at you.
Ah, moes, my David Lee loving brother, keep your head up. Hope things work out for the best, mate. But I'm glad you had the wherewithal to end something if it wasn't fulfilling your happiness.
