Does a surfer have stability or certainty? I mean, that wave could come crashing down at any moment. I hear that surfing makes people pretty happy, though.
Sure, just like when the Sun finally dies we will all be destroyed in the aftermath. We'll see which one happens first.
F the sun. <object width="400" height="225"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=11127162&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=11127162&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="225"></embed></object><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/11127162">who loves the sun</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user3648055">Manoella Mariano</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
You know, seriously. We're so dependent on that stupid giant gas ball. I say we teraform a new planet and head there ASAP.
I can guarantee human beings will not be eradicated by the sun's expansion into a red giant and subsequent collapse. That's so far down the road that we will have either A) Blown everyone the hell up long before or B) Gotten our collective **** together and expanded our empire to other galaxies. Earth will probably be a long-dead husk of a planet by the time it's devoured by the sun.
