[Breaking] Texas lawmakers IMPEACH Attorney General Ken Paxton

Can at least 50% of republicans in the Texas Senate do the right thing? That seems to be a a very high bar...but it shouldn't be.

21 of 30 votes needed to convict and the most thus far is 14 for.

 

There's nothing modern Republicans won't abide so long as they have the magic (R) next to their name.

I didn't realize 84% of the Texas House considered Ken Paxton their political opposition, given that many of them voted for him, donated to him, and even campaigned with him.

Your point does stand, though, for the US House which is trying to impeach Biden without even having identified a particular crime to accuse him of.

 

Acquitted on all 16 charges voted on. No votes on the other 4.

What's the take away here?
Is this a case of Republicans protecting their own?
Was it poor execution by the House/prosecution in making their case?
Was there simply a lack of evidence to convict?

 

So all of the House Republicans that voted to impeach him are his opposition?

Current state of the majority of the Republican Party isn’t going to allow any accountability on any real level of corruption in their own ranks. This was always going to end up this way.

It’s like he doesn’t live in the United States and doesn’t know that Paxton’s own party tried to impeach him. Either that or he is dumb. Take your pick.

 

The people who reported him were the people who he hired who I assume are republicans. 2 Republicans did vote to convict him. I mean its pretty ridiculous how the republicans party just backs criminals.

 

An opportunity for the right to purge the corruption out of their party and unsurprisingly they fail to meet the moment.

Yet another example as to why they are no longer a viable candidate to lead.
