Well they were dependent on their handlers, but I am saying they did it to maintain their lifestyles rather than out of any desire to pass on critical information of any use to mother Russia
meh... EVERY country spies. We once sold a 747 to China rigged with microphones. The difference is just getting caught.
I somewhat agree with this sentiment and the case against these people seems kind of shady. I haven't seen much of the evidence though against these people and get the feeling that a lot of the evidence might never be openly revealed.
This is a game all countries play. Some are good at it and some are bad. I just sort of accept the reality that other countries have spies here and we certainly have our spies there. In this age, I think the spying is just for defensive purposes or for gaining economic strength (i.e. stealing trade secrets) for the most part. Gone are the days where spies were a precursor to potential invasion or attempt at toppling governments. Too much economic reliance on one another for any non-third world country to be thinking otherwise imho.

Just heard on the radio that the US might swap these guys for Americans held for espionage in Russia.
Anna Chapman my azz. She looks straight up Russian. This is like the people who claim to be Rockets fans but don't think Hakeem could stop the Bulls. Fake ass fans!
