Childress is rightly getting panned - he's been as terrible this season as the other bad joke coaches in the league. He's clearly lost control and respect of the team. His decision making this year has been astoundingly bad. Miami makes sense as a Pats rival, and it would help open up Bess. I guess Seattle would too, they're somehow on the top of that pathetic division and don't have crap for receivers. Can Hasselbeck still throw a deep ball though?
What sucks is that this will overshadow the game tonight. I was looking forward to ESPN having no choice but to talk about our 5-2 record tomorrow, but now they have the perfect excuse to ignore us, as usual.
Jay Glazer reporting that it is not official yet, and Moss has not been informed of the decision. http://twitter.com/#!/Jay_Glazer/status/29404534511 Maybe Childress went solo on this, and hes forcing the Vikings to choose between him and Moss?

So they told the entire team, but they haven't told Randy or the FO yet? Everywhere I've seen says the NFL office has received the request already.
Vincent Jackson has to report to the team now anyways for really cheap so that he can be a true free agent this offseason. He reported on Friday. So why take a chance on Moss when you are already adding Jackson to the best offense (yardage) in the NFL?
We don't get Floyd til MNF against the Broncos and V-Jack doesen't come back til week 12 against Indy. If we're lucky Naane plays next week but our top 4 receivers are out. I could see us picking him up for the short term... But than again AJ is still our manager
WTF is wrong with this guy...i'll tell you what, too many people babying him and thus he throws a tantrum...he's always been known for half azzing it,so that shouldn't be a surprise, but he's a diva... and btw, the Texans need to pick him up
@Adam_Schefter multiple members of the Vikings organization -- the front office and the players -- want Randy Moss back (not that he ever left). Maybe Childress spoke prematurely to his team today and Moss ends up staying with the Vikings?
Adam_Schefter: FWIW, being told WR Randy Moss is open to returning to Minnesota. Whether it happens is anyone's guess.
