If Bill O' Brien had a better offense, he'd have a higher ground to stand on. Chip Kelly got more out of Nick Foles. The Broncos have competent offenses with Simien and Osweiller, Kubiak was run out. If your calling card is the offense and you are consistently in the bottom half of the league (even if you don't have the QBs you want) in offense. He better keep the offense clicking this year.
Oh for sure, give credit to BOB for bringing in a competent defensive coach, but that doesn't mean that he's a competent coach. In fact, he's shown time and time again that he's not a competent offensive coach.
We keep circling this conversation. You show me the 5 bottom offenses in the league and I will show you 5 bad quarterbacks. Quarterbacks determine offensive output. There is a correlation and if you agree to that your problem is with Rick Smith, not Bob.
That's not an excuse when BOB hand picked the QB's.....and when a big part of the problem was his play calling.

To be fair, they are 2-2 and underdogs at home in the next game. They've played great for two weeks but they aren't a winning team yet

Hand picked QBs from what's left over at closing time at Porky's. Which backup level QB that he was provided with has proven to be a top 16 starter? One can only hope that's the case.
