It's not about rather they had it coming. But they should have been prepared in case someone comes... Get it...???

Haven't you known anyone in your lifetime (kid in school, someone in neighborhood, etc) that you knew not to fxxk with because they may do something crazy...?

These are people who fly plans into buildings... They strap bombs to their chest and run into schools and blow up children.

You can't expect someone who is irrational to have rational thinking. And a business that makes a living at poking fun at nutcase religious groups should have invested in better security... Have you been to an airport in the US lately....???

That's bu77shyt because I heard at least one of the people who were killed was a bodyguard... Which means they did have some form of security.

Because they already had some form of security _ your point is wrong.

At the risk of bringing this to the D & D, Osama had bodyguards. You think he wasn't ready to die for his religion?

that doesn't mean what i said is wrong. just because one person may have had a body guard (i'm not sure where you heard that or if it's even accurate) does not mean they weren't still willing to die for their freedom of speech. they knew the risks of what they were doing and defied the threats of extremists anyway because they were not and are not afraid of those who wish to deny the right of free speech. you're really reaching now.

also you've been saying they should have had security, now you're saying that they did. what do you expect them to do? have armed guards around the clock ready to have a shootout with attackers armed with ak-47s? that's just not practical.

you're either extremely thick or a troll. either way you are not worth talking to anymore.

If you read my post I said they should have been prepared and invested in better security... I never gave an indication that they had none at all. And how much better _ I don't know. Better security could mean a more secure facility were unauthorized personnel can't get in the building and or have easy access to every part of the building. Just the same, sometimes the freedoms that we practice have to be protected.

So you're going to verbally assassinate me because I practiced my freedom of speech and voice my opinions... What does that remind you of  You're no different than those MF's expect you have a keyboard instead of a machine gun. Many of the people in this thread talking that 'freedom of speech with no repercussion shyt' attack and insult other posters for their opinions on a daily basis. Y'all even start threads to have people banned.

You (and many others) are standing on both sides of the fence.... Pick a side and stay on it and live your life how you preach.... Hypocrites....!!!!

Oh good, a new troll to feed!

Meanwhile, back to anything anyone might be interested in: French police appear to have the assholes surrounded, and of course, in keeping with the will of the Prophet, they appear to have taken hostages.

Sorry if this has already been posted. It's difficult to wade through all the troll posts.

Do yall ever read someone's posts and say to yourselves, "Holy crap! I can't believe I haven't put that person on ignore yet"?

I don't know how likely it is that these two guys even want to come out of this alive, so we can only hope the best for that hostage.

Where are the GIGN when you need them? Seems like now would be the time to let them do what they do best.

I mean no disrespect to the grim situation, but I have to admit yakety sax plays in my head sometimes when I read about the pursuit. (Also, mods, please amend the auto-correct to incorporate the term "yakety". Thanks.)

So to recap, based on the little I've seen so far this morning, the two bastards are surrounded in a building at a village in the country outside of Paris and have at least one hostage, saying they want to be "martyrs." Negotiations being attempted, outlook grim, in my opinion, for whatever innocents they've taken. At least one terrorist holds possibly 7 innocents in a small kosher grocery in a Jewish neighborhood in Paris, surrounded by hundreds of police, swat teams, and I'm guessing other assets the French have on hand (same with the situation with the two b*stard brothers). Another grim outlook. A manhunt is on for a terrorist who shot dead a woman police officer in Paris. Where he/she is at is unknown. French officials say they are all connected.

I have anything wrong? I've been busy this morning, so may have missed sometrhing.

There's an "auto-correct" somewhere here?? I don't believe you! (go clean your fur. KC said you were filthy)

Looks about right. Apparently the assault has begun in the warehouse where the two brothers are holed up. The hold up was due to blocking all exits and evacuating people in that area. Word out that the two suspects are killed. No idea if its true or not.

Looks like you're right, The Stig. Events in motion.

    from the BBC:

French police have stormed two hostage sites in Paris and north of the city.

Gunshots and explosions have been heard at a printworks warehouse in Dammartin-en-Goele, where two suspects in the Charlie Hebdo shootings were holding at least one hostage.

French media are reporting that the two suspects, brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi, have been killed.

Explosions and gunfire could also be heard at at a kosher supermarket in eastern Paris, at Porte de Vincennes.

A gunman there was thought to be holding several hostages. Reports suggest he is linked to the Charlie Hebdo suspects.

Hostages could be seen coming out from the Hypercacher supermarket.
