    Great news, but OBL was pretty much out as the leading figure about 7 years ago. The threat we face doesn't have the kind of power structure needed where a death like this sets them back. He'll be declared a martyr, and they'll move on like a multi-headed virus.

    Still, those thirsting for his blood receive some solace; Americans get a morale boost; and, those in power capitalize on this death by either defending their agenda or attacking the other side's views. Politics is wonderful theater.

    Yup. I find the celebration and dancing in the street is a bit ridiculous. Terrorists thrive on this kind of revenge so the US better be alert.

    I'm saying important news doesn't need to be stickied. It's importance automatically keeps it high up on the forum.

    What or who deems news important enough to be stickied?

    It's unnecessary to sticky this thread.
