Okay, it is time to come clean. What I am going to say is truthful and not made up. Both of my kids have been very sick - my daughter had bronchitis and maybe even flu and my son has had the croope (sp?) and also bronchitis. My wife who has pretty much been taking care of them has also gotten sick (see where this is going?). I had avoided it for the most part but yesterday afternoon around 5, I felt a nasty sore throat coming on. Then I felt a general malaise. It was like I was Pink Floyd's rhythm section - I was just there but that was it.

I found myself just in a really weird funk type mood. If I felt better, I would have jammed some Parliament/Funkadelic but alas that was not the case. Before I started feeling this way, I had been reading some threads in the NBA Dish forum, specifically the one about LeBron. Maybe he does dominate my thoughts as his supporters like to say and I am just bathing in a huge pool of haterade; however, it is like I have said before, people are disappointed in LeBron because unlike Kobe who plays for a team that is easy to hate and is really not a likable person, LBJ was different. He seemed to be likable and his skill was one to make you ooh and ah. But his decision to have "The Decision" on TV and then all the tweeting and then backtracking, accepting the villain role but then waffling and talking in the 3rd person is stuff that just fascinates me to no end. It is like watching an American hero deteriorate right before our eyes - just like an auto accident, you should not look but you can't help it.

I had found that article on-line through Palm Bay something. I have known moes for close to 10 years and knew he wouldn't care if I did a spoof on LeBron, using him. I thought about asking him first but felt it would be more shocking and jarring if he didn't know about this ahead of time. For those of you who haven't been here for the past 7 to 8 years, "YoYao" was one of the most, maybe the most infamous poster to ever post here. In the summer of '03, he developed a rabid cult following with several posters here. He got banned and started his own board. As far as I know, his board is no longer in existence and probably hasn't existed since '04 or '05.

I have a pretty weird and obscure sense of humor (if that isn't obvious by now, it should be) and there was a time when I revelled (sp?) in being a flake here. However, as a great songwriter once wrote, "I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now."

So blame this thread on a possible case of bronchitis coming on and the general malaise it left me in. I hate to say this but now I know why some artists/musicians do things under the influence of drugs.

You know, drapg, when you start a sentence off with "Not to be...", you pretty much are being that. Spare us the wasted space of "Not to be a" and just say, "I'm being a dick here..."

But to answer your question, I could very well be posting this on a work laptop sitting across from the President AND CEO of the company that I might or not be working for. Only I know for sure and thanks to a poster named "IBTL" (who was obviously on this board as another name), no one will know - muwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
