I never understood the big hype about MJ. I never liked him as a singer,performer or person. I still feel nauseous when I hear a song of his on the radio, trying to switch the station as fast as I can. Same thing with Madonna..can't stand her either. Okay, I take that back, I like her 80s stuff.

So no, I do not feel this huge loss when thinking about Michael Jackson.

I do wonder what will happen to his kids though.Who will get custody?

There's nothing wrong with that. MJ had a huge infulence on Hip Hop. Most of those artist grew up watching him. For them to see a man that had their same skin color, be so widley axcepted everywhere has had a profound impact on all their careers. When they are sampling his music, they are paying homage to a legend. Its all out of respect. Mike made it possible for them to be where they are today. From Tupac to Three Six Mafia.

I don't think there was anything wrong with what he said. Most people like us have a problem with hip hop there way it is today but there was a time it was actually decent music and a lot of the people performing during that time sampled his music. Nothing wrong with that.

A couple of heads of state around the world have offered condolences but nothing yet from President Obama. I'm not one of those wondering why not as I feel he'll issue something soon enough, but I'm not surprised he hasn't because the moment he discusses anything unrelated to the economy, it'll bring in the parade of folks who feel the President should not even spend 30seconds of his day discussing anything unrelated to the economy-sort of like when he made his Basketball picks.
