    Agreed. He was messed up starting the 90s, but he was an innovator and inspiration during his peak in the 80s.

    When we honor him, we honor his achievement in music, and not his addictions and infamy.

    Just for discussion but really there is/was no bigger star in entertainment than him. Period.

    All corners of the world-MJ was known. You could go to a remote village in Africa or to somewhere in Siberia. MJ was the biggest and best known star in entertainment. Can't think of too many other stars that had heads of states clamoring to meet them.

    My 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter are both saddened as well. They don't want me to turn it off MTV. I'm switching it on commercials, but they say, "Daaaaad... We want to see the songs we've never seen and heard by him!"



    His music has touched nearly 6 decades. 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, 00's and one year short of 10s.
