    I'm wondering what kind of tragedy that a kid was genuinely facing could have been avoided while everyone was worrying about a random kid hiding in his attic.

    So the parents let this balloon float into the sky, then couldnt find the kid?

    and assume he was in the balloon? So the kid goes hiding in the attic?

    WTF?


    this is to wierd ..... did the parents tell him to hide in the attic and fake the whole story?


    Why would the kid go hide in the attic at the time the balloon went up?
