I can not believe all the jokes in here.....this kid is missing, may be dead......show some respect. DD
I feel sorry for the kid and his family. I can see how people try to find humor in this, though. If death was something that cannot be viewed with humor, I guess the site www.darwinawards.com would not exist...
Yea MattJ brought this up on 610 just now, really amazing...wont really laugh at this stuff till I know he is cool. I get the feeling that if I laugh at all the jokes and he is hurt badly or dead then I might be punching my ticket to the underworld when my time comes up.
You would think they could've figured out EXACTLY what happened by now. This whole thing is just really odd.
Why would you think that? If you just throw out a number of course it doesn't mean much of anything. But it would seem logical that an empathetic person who hears this story about a kid who might have fell to his death and felt bad (though it could very well be a hoax) would probably feel bad and offer condolences if they heard the details of any of those other 150,000 stories. Some people really are just capable of empathy when they hear of such things.
Breaking news story about a homemade craft floating across colorado. Come to find out some dip**** family that was on wife swap has a mad scientist for a father. Looks like the father and sons have been building some craft that uses helium and they had it teathered (term similar to having a teather ball poll with a line attached to the ball). Well the kid somehow got into the craft and it came lose or whatever and the next thing you know he's 7000 feet in the air in below freezing temperature, no wait, 8000 feet, or 15000 or something like that with freezing temps and low oxygen. DD suggested they fly in army parachuters to rescue the kid, but then noticed the craft was tilted to one side while watching it on news video feed, so he was looking for arms or elbows and stuff. Then the thing started to descend to the ground and Moes guaranteed that this was all a prank and that the kid would come from his hiding place in the woods for dinnertime as soon as he got hungry. Then the craft made a fairly soft landing and a cf.net bbs poster let us know that the door to the craft had not been breached. Then later we found out that the craft was made of tin foil and prolly didn't have a door to begin with, then a new story came out that a box was attached to the craft that would contain batteries and stuff and the kid may have been in the box. Then another reprort said, due to physics, the craft wouldn't be able to fly with a 6 year old kid in it, so then we all thought the kid was hiding under pine cones out in the yard and he'd come home once again for dinner. Now the biggest concern seems to be whether or not someone will get fined for violating FAA airspace, and not so much the fate of the kid. The kids name was Falcon, by the way and he made some uncool rap video on youtube as well. Thats all i got.
*sigh* (cue Brad Pitt "Whats in the box?!" Se7en quote...) I'm out this thread, gotta close out the work day here..
