    Does that thing seem like it's moving really fast to anyone else? I've never been in a hot air balloon but that thing looked like it had a lot of forward momentum...

    Holy crap!! The only way I could see a rescue attempt would be with another hot air baloon. But even that would be extremly dangerous.

    Jet stream winds can be 125mph easily... and other surrounding winds increase as they are closer to the jet stream.

    Just watced the video, didn't know it was up that high and moving at that rate of speed. Have no idea how they are going to be able to get him down.

    It sounds like just speculation at this point. A sibling of the kid apparently saw the door open as it was lifting off.

    I bet it's moving fast, but I think it looks like it's moving faster than it really is because the camera is zoomed in.
