    Good luck Tru Warier.

People need to stop with the don't let the door hit you on the way out, good riddance nonsense.

You can't blame him for turning down a one year deal.

Regardless, you have to admit. This was one of the best years of Rockets basketball we've had in awhile.

    See ya Ron

Thank you Ron. I won't miss those 5-19 shooting nights, but I will definitely miss the passion that you brought to every game.

There is no way that he cares about money right now. He wants a ring bro. You act like he is 24 yrs old. Likely he will get cash and a great shot at a title in LA, Boston or Cleveland. He'd be lucky to get a shot at cash with the rox, but he'd be giving up his chances for a ring. The last 14 yrs have proven that.

Varejao is larger/less-fundamentally sound version of Chuck.

If we already have Chuck, why would we pursue Varejao??

Only way I consider this is if Varejao is a 1 year deal so he can go back out on free agency next off season and we get a pick or two.

I don't think we can S&T Artest for either Varejao or Ariza, because at the salary Ron would require, they would be BYC players. Unless he would be willing to take a first year salary of only 25% more than either made last year.

Can two players even be S&T for each other?

I think we probably be better off just letting him go and not getting back large contracts. If its not an up and coming superstar, an expiring, or a high draft pick; I don't want it.

Put my eggs in Lebron or Wade basket.

Suffer a year. Then win a championship. The Spurs did it, so can we.

If the young core plays well; it will appeal to Lebron and Wade.

Plus they get to play with Yao coming off some much needed rest or whoever we trade him for assuming we get equal value. Maybe a Bosh or maybe i am dreaming

We'll see what he signs for...he wont go to the Cavs for 4 million if the Clippers offer 12.

He's going to the team that opens the checkbook.

Maybe we are letting Ron walk to keep Tracy happy, since they reportedly did not get along.

well, ron's been asking for 10-12m/yr AND a multi year contract. it's insulting because it's insinuating that youre not part of their long term plans and youre not good enough to invest all that money in.

the plan was to see if ron works out with the rockets for 1 yr. and if everything went ok, plans were to sign a multi year deal. i think that was what ron was told coming here. and then you get a 1yr deal again? also, we're not sure if it's significantly more than the mle.

I disagree with that. He is NOT going to the highest offer. He will go for a balance of money and contention.
