Varejao? Are you serious? Hell no. Why? I will miss his attitude and passion. Damn it. Now we only have one star. Are you freakin kiddin me?
Mark my words any team that signs Ron Artest will be regretting it big time within two years. Smart move by Morey. I'm still going to miss him and I've become a life time fan of Ron Artest for sure. But how many wanted his ass out of here mid season? Pretty much all of us. That's what's going to happen whereve it goes and it'll be for a longer period. We need to be farsighted and that's what Morey is doing.
The more I think about it the worse I feel. Artest was such a stand-up guy for our team and even though he was a ball-stopper and his defense was not what it used to be, he was on his best behavior and always tried to help us win. It was a great ride. I used to be very cautious of him but he's really a nice guy after all. Took the words right out of my mouth.
not if they go through with signing gordon and charlie, plus houston can offer more than anyone i believe..
Why all the doom and gloom? Did anyone seriously believe Ron would stay here after the news about Yao? We were lucky to have him for a season. It was great, even if he drove us nuts from time to time, but we still have a damn good team and we're going to add some parts that'll make us better. Just wait and see.
Does anyone else roll their eyes when they read comments like these? What if someone does decide to "mark your words" and you end up being wrong? Should they come back two years and bring it up? Do they get rewarded for having kept track of it? I'm a bit confused about the logic.
I remember hearing on the radio that the Rox might be interested in Varejao, which stunned me. I can't remember if it was Friedman or Justice who said it.
zaza and gortat, but please no Anderson. Players that hold out and dont play in the regular season because of contract disputes cant be trusted in my opinion. And to top it off he is dirty , we broke a guys face in the Olympics for no reason.
It is going to be difficult to watch that Nappy Headed Hoe on this team if he becomes a Rocket. I'd rather sign someone from the Jazz than Anderson Varejao.
Oh hell no, I would hate to see Ron with the Lakers. What happened to all the "Don't you know you're hitting Ron Artest?"
Yeah, I surprised anyone has a problem with this. That's money that can be spent in much smarter ways.
I am not seeing what you people see in Ron. He wasn't as offensively talented as TMAC but yet he was a ball stopper, played his own offense, and had terrible shot selection. He defense was good and brought intensity, but sometimes he would lose his mind and turn into his alter ego, RON RON. At this point we j/dont' really need him.
Seems like whenever a bad story or rumor about the Rockets exists, the media, especially the local media, will rush and put it out to the world. It was just within the past hour that Artest posted that quote on Twitter giving Houston thanks and the local media could not wait to put that out to for the rest of the NBA to see. Giving thanks to Houston does not mean he wants to play for the Lakers, Cavs, or any other championship-caliber team. I do not see where Artest said himself he does not want to sign with the Rockets and would rather sign with the Lakers or Cavs but our local media just could not wait to put that information out there. I swear it seems the media would rather see the Rockets fail, even our local media. This is a horrible offseason.
i saw that, but it's just ch 26 reporting it, could be reporting it from the same place i read it from, and again, that was just someone's guess since the Rockets had interest when AV was a FA. i thought there was a legit quote somwhere..
