Just sounds like he's having more fun. The Berman report plus Ron Ron's "play message" just seem too much of a coincidence. Still feel like he's going elsewhere

Nobody can blame ron for signing the better deal, CD.

I love Ron and wish him the best for him and his family. Cant get mad at a man looking out for himself and his family.

We've got to remember the Rockets had problems with Artest and he was the first one being shopped before McGrady was out for the season.

If Morey let Artest go, he will definitely regret some day.
Ron Artest could not only bring toughness to this team, but his spirit and hardworking. On this point, very few players could replace him.
If you think this is BS, just ask yourself this question:
what's the most impressed you this playoff season about rockets.
The answer is toughness with no doubt.
You can't deny the truth that Ron make this team become more physical.
If Artest leave Houston, the wining chance of championship would be back zero again for us.
    Mark my words.

It's really gonna stink to see him go. For all the headaches he's caused me, I love his passion and intensity. He's definitely one of the goofiest players in the NBA and he's pulled a complete 180 with his image -- definitely turned into a stand up type of player.

I definitely understand the decision to part ways (from both sides). Do I like it? Not really. Just gotta have faith in the ole GM, I guess.

Ok, so let me get this straight. No Yao, No McGrady, and likely No Artest Where does this leave us now?....We were shopping Brooks and Landry, and rumours were circulating that we were shopping Battier too....Man, what is going on with this organization?

i agree dadakota. ron is not needed on this team in a mulit year deal. in a few years it will be a disaster if it happens. von wafer is young and will improve and thats what we need right now.

Dammit, Ron. Go take your meds!

Rocket fans are already on edge with the Yao/McGrady situations. We don't need this.

I still can't understand Morey's intention at all.
If Morey made up decision to shop Battier just because Yao's injury, why don't trade TMac for Amare?
You have to know, this team without Yao and TMAC could dogfight with championship team for 7 games.
How could rebulid this good team happens, just becasue of Yao's out?
If it's the consequence of "In Morey We Trust", I feel extremely disappointed.

It's time to blow up the team.

We're not winning a championship with Ron and no Yao or McGrady, why extend him?

We might as well gun for the 2010 FA class to rebuild

that was the right move. a multi-year deal for ron is not ideal for the team trying to grow right now.

move on. now we REALLY need to trade tracy for some pieces or pray he comes back healthy.
