I'm about 1/2 way through it and it's really interesting. Lots of technical stuff, minimal yahoo conspiracy theories so far.

ETA: Ooops...may have spoken too soon re: that last line

Pretty good. Like Buck said, a few crazy conspiracy theories. Worth a watch though.

In 2019 I met some Malaysian Airlines pilots in Hong Kong. One of them trained with the pilot of that plane. He was convinced it was a mechanical issue as he didn’t feel that pilot would’ve done anything to endanger the plane or his career.

I hate flying but I'd rather do that then going on a boat/cruise. If the inevitable were to happen I rather crash in a quick death rather then drowning in a painful death.

I like to travel but I hate the actual getting there. I would still take plane rather than a cruise. For one because I hate the actual travel part I don’t want to just be stuck on a big boat staring at the ocean for most of the time. Also all the risks of Norovirus and the other stuff that seems to crop up with cruises.

The series was interesting up until halfway through when conspiracy theory guy took over. Thank God Beach comber dude Idiotana Jones came to the rescue and salvaged the series.

I don’t believe a meteor or missile hit the plane - there would be a debris field.

I believe the likely theory is depressurization similar to Payne Stewart’s death. Intentional or accidental - I can’t say, but the electrical system turned off. Perhaps the turn was the pilot becoming disoriented or attempting to return to Malaysia. After everyone on board died, the plane flew off course until fuel ran out in the Indian Ocean.

    RIP

I haven't seen the series but this is one of the biggest mysteries of our time and will go down like the Mary Celeste and the Western Greenland Viking settlement as one of those things possibly never answered.
