You know this is the main difference I see in most Democrats and most Republicans. Democrats are like "Cool. Hillary did something illegal? Take her to court, prove it, throw her in jail. Hunter Biden did illegal ****? Cool. Throw him in jail." The GOP these days doesn't care. They could have a phone call with Trump, Putin, and Kim Jong-un planning to nuke the U.S. and his supporters would still find some way to defend him.

The President doesn't have the power to simply declassify any materials at any time. By law, some secrets (eg. nuclear weapons) cannot be declassified by the President. He can only do this while he's President. Once Biden became President, Biden can reverse any declassification and re-classify them. Did he actually de-classify those materials before he took them? The excuse that he declassified them before he left office was odd, I saw one article that said he could declassify just about anything but I assume there is a formal process and some sort of trail of how and when it happened, at least I hope there is. I would not put it past trump to not know the difference, he probably thought just because he wants it declassified that he could simply say "hocus pocus" its now declassified. At the end of the day I am not sure what will happen, these are unprecedented times for an unprecedented EX president, should he go to jail, hell yes, does it jeopardize the bigger picture such as a divide and possible violence......I am not sure yet but this is a fluid situation and we shall see.
