Because all the SCIFs are in DC. These are just rare cases in general, and most definitely the 1st case with this charge that Judge Cannon is involved in. Build a SCIF for Trump at his resort and just jet all the docs from DC back down there? I guess if that was done in the first place, he would have never been in trouble.
Some cursory reading seems to show that SCIFs are quick to set up and are put up and taken down all the time. They are set up just about anywhere, even hotel rooms and in cars. Mar a Lago has or had a SCIF. The only barrier, I think, would be shipping all the docs to the Florida SCIF. But, if you can move them across town, you can get them to Florida.
There's no way Trump would pay for a SCIF at Mar a Lago and, just like the documents, he's no longer entitled to have one given to him.
Well, the judge had ordered that a SCIF be used in the Southern District of Florida. Doesn't have to be at Mar-a-Lago. But I feel like this whole SCIF story isn't a real controversy. It feels like the product of an outrage machine that will spin every morsel of news as evidence of Judge Cannon's alleged bias.
It seems like Cannon is bending over backwards, not sure if its bias or is she trying to show she isnt favoring one over the other although all of her rulings seem to be for trump and I haven't seen the vitriol from trump towards that case which seems fairly straight forward.
We are a year out now. If the powers that be are going to pull him off the campaign trail, it would be better to do it soon rather than have to scramble to find a candidate closer to the debate.

Yes, Canon should be recused based on this. That might be a win for Trump since it will cause a huge delay, I would imagine.

Might be time to give Twitter a rest for a while, eh? I try not to use any social media and just consuming it here on this site is enough to last me a lifetime.
If only twitter had a process in place that people were verified and a panel of people that reviewed what was tweeted for accuracy. Oh wait...
