As I said that makes sense to me and frankly isn’t that much different than the reasons Texiera the airman in MA took all those classified docs from his job. Ben Shapiro should know this but to not ruin the surprise Spoiler It’s still a crime.
Don't be so pollyannish! Things Meatball Ron has done to become the next POTUS: 1. Punching down hard on gays, trans and people of color 2. Signing a 6 weeks abortion ban 3. Picking a fight he can not win with the state's largest employer 4. Banning books that hurt Little Johnny Racist's fee-fees 5. Seeing how many grandmas he can kill by telling Floridians to not get the covid vaccine 6. Creating his own Praetorian Guard 7. Telling the Federal Government and the states of New York and Georgia that he will prevent Trump's extradition from Florida I am sure I have missed a few.
One of the things that really stands out is that defense of Trump pretty much falls on claiming bias rather than the facts. This isn’t a Clutchfans thing but goes all the way to even John Durham who expressed a lot of opinion in his report but didn’t factually counter and even agreed that there was good reason to investigate Trump. Im reminded again of the quote: “If you have the facts, pound the facts. If you have the law, pound the law. If you don’t have facts or law, pound the table.”
None of those except for the last one would actually get him into legal trouble. And the last one it’s very unlikely he does it (then again these days unlikely isn’t as unlikely). Any order given by a Governor would be obstruction of Justice. An LEO or guardsman ethically wouldn’t have to obey an order like that. compare this to a situation like sanctuary cities or enforcing federal mar1juana laws. States aren’t obligated to cooperate with the Federal government enforcing those. Theoretically DeSantis doesn’t have to comply with an extradition order. That would be different though if he used FL forces to block an extradition or prevent access to a Federel courthouse.
as usual, they’ve got Trump on tape basically self-snitching Trump the type to win the case for the prosecution before the trial even starts
I know Trump’s lawyers are basically off Craigslist and are desperate enough to try and defend any type of case, but sheesh the guy self-snitches on the record constantly…he says dumb and incriminating sh*t on the regular like in the Jean Carroll case Who actually says this sh*t while being accused of rape? “It’s true with stars that they can grab women by the p***y?” The former president was asked in response. “Well, if you look over the last million years, I guess that’s been largely true,” Trump said. “Not always, but largely true. Unfortunately, or fortunately.” Mr Trump was then asked if he considered himself “to be a star.” “I think you can say that, yeah,” he agreed. Closing statements in the case are set to begin on Monday with the jury expected to get the case on Tuesday. his lawyers were probably like he’s already self-snitched in this case, and I fully expect him to unknowingly do it again in front of a jury, but then go into a “b-b-but Biden” defense
What does he mean “this totally wins my case, except it’s confidential?” I’m not getting that part. What case is he thinking he’s winning?
I suspect that when all else fails in trump's defense, his defenders will resort back to the "he didn't know he couldn't do that as a political novice..." while continuing to hope trump supporters not seeing the clear difference between Biden and Pence turning over materials voluntarily to what trump did.
Who knows... in his mind he is always thinking of how he is right/best/persecuted and its usually built on lies. So who knows.
You said that this was Joe Biden who indicted Trump. Now you are claiming..... The Attorney General and Joe Biden are the same person??? Again... you are either just really really dumb, or you are trolling to go down some path of deflecting the conversation away from Trump's crimes, and talking about Biden. It's pathetic if that's what you are trying to do, and I do hope that's what you are trying to do because if you honestly do not understand how federal indictments happen then you really really lack basic knowledge, and should just refrain from acting like you have an opinion on something you clearly don't understand. If I had to bet.... I don't think you are that dumb. I think you are just trying to deflect.
Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, initially assigned to oversee his case: Sources The summons sent to former President Donald Trump and his legal team late Thursday indicates that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon will be assigned to oversee his case, at least initially, according to sources briefed on the matter. Cannon's apparent assignment would add yet another unprecedented wrinkle to a case involving the first federal charges against a former president: Trump appointed Cannon to the federal bench in 2020, meaning that, if Trump is ultimately convicted, she would be responsible for determining the sentence – which may include prison time – for the man who elevated her to the role. A federal grand jury voted to indict Trump on at least seven federal charges late Thursday as part of an investigation into his handling of classified documents, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. The indictment comes after more than 100 documents with classified markings were found at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in August 2022. Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and claimed again late Thursday that he was innocent. Cannon is no stranger to the case. The 42-year-old judge appointed a "special master" last year to review those materials seized from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. Legal experts accused Cannon of handing Trump a series of head-scratching victories over the course of those proceedings. ABC News left a voicemail with Judge Cannon’s chambers Friday morning seeking comment, but did not immediately receive a response. Cannon has already shown to be inept and prejudicial in favor of Trump. But it may not matter if the evidence is as strong as it appears.
If it's just the arraignment that's fine but if she's handling the entire case I'm just not as optimistic...
