Listen, I am not here to defend trump. But if you look at the timeline for Biden, his press sec said the search was over hours after a batch of docs was found. There was no mention of those during her conference.
Also Biden's lawyers probably are giving them strict instructions to not say a damn thing and let Biden's lawyers respond through written text with the DOJ etc. as any good lawyer would do. Biden has a special counsel and a GOP Congress that will form a special committee to rake him over the coals with. If Biden's press secretary said anything from that podium beyond "I'd refer you to Biden's attorney on this matter" or "I would refer you to the DOJ on this matter" then she should be fired.
The raid on Mar-A-Lago was because Trump's lawyers were being either willfully ignorant or grossly negligent. Also because Trump's team rather than fully cooperating with DOJ and National Archives was taking them to court on baseless grounds.
This is why it is a good idea to have a special counsel look into Biden's handling of classified material.
you said the FBI raid on mara lago was "ridiculous". seems like youre defending trump. you seem to be saying that biden and trump should have been treated the same...that biden should have also been raided by the FBI. but as has been pointed out to you multiple times, the situations were very different. im not understanding what your issue is here or where there is some big lie, cover-up or "gotcha". you said biden wasnt being honest because the biden administration knew that there were more batches of files and said the search was over and now youre saying the press secretary said the search was over after docs were found. ill ask again...do you have any news sources to back up your claim that the administration knew there were more files to be found when they said the search was over? if you have any news articles to clarify or to back up your claims id be interested in seeing them.
Pence: 'Mistakes were made' https://triblive.com/news/politics-election/pence-mistakes-were-made-in-classified-records-handling/
Woah, this idiot really made digital copies of classified documents and sent them to regular civilians? that might be the most serious thing about this whole ordeal to date
Washington Post article is paywalled, but Turley's summary of its contents is not. Washington Post: Top FBI Officials Opposed Mar-a-Lago Raid https://jonathanturley.org/2023/03/02/washington-post-top-fbi-officials-opposed-mar-a-lago-raid/
Turley's comments are dishonest by omission. It has already been pointed out in multiple posts the many opportunities sought for a consentual search. Furthermore, it makes sense if it is believed that Trump was obstructing, and may communicate to others who are also being investigated separately and jeopardize other investigations. The level of cooperation or lack of cooperation between the Trump camp and the Biden and Pense camps aren't close to being equal. This is what Turley has long been reduced to lately.
Not saying that there wasn't some error but I will say that there had to be some serious internal politics going on within the FBI leadership when this came up. It's not a joke to raid a former President's home, especially if he has the potential to be your boss in the future. President>Attorney General>Director of the FBI
