Patriotism to an American Lying Traitor isn't Patriotism for America. It's blind support to a man and a party.

Judge Cannon wants the documents ready for review by the date the Special Master wants to be done. Trump’s main strategy is to delay. Judge Cannon appears to exist for Trump’s wish fulfillment.

The DoJ is likely to appeal Judge Cannon’s original ruling for Special Master, since it was not her decision to make. This appeal will take time though.

The DoJ and FBI, since they have the 100+ classified documents and are cleared to investigate them, can do the hard work of damage assessment. No thanks to the Toddler in Chief.

Any future indictment against Trump will also likely center on the classified documents anyway.

Judge Cannon definitely appears biased towards Trump. She's undercutting the special master that she and the Trump side agreed to now I'm not sure how that legally works.

The more I hear abut what Judge Cannon is doing it is becoming more obvious that she is acting biased towards Trump. In terms of a sports analogy she is the umpire who expands the strike zone when Trump's team is pitching and then shrinking it when the team is battting.

Given the rebuke the 11th Circuit gave her would think that would've made her more even handed but she still appears to be bending things to give Trump a favorable outcome.

I don't know enough about he law here but can the DOJ request to change venue to get this heard by a different judge?

The DOJ is appealing Judge Cannon’s latest ruling designed to slow walk the documents review by the Special Master

The Justice Department moved to quickly dismantle the independent review of documents seized from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, contending that the review...is impeding its criminal investigation.

In a 15-page filing asking a federal appeals court to speed its consideration of the issue, prosecutors complained the “special master” review prevents DOJ from accessing thousands of non-classified records recovered from the former president’s estate.
    and

The filing also hints at prosecutors’ irritation with Cannon...The Justice Department noted that she has repeatedly overruled decisions made by the special master...Senior U.S. District Court Judge Raymond Dearie….The Justice Department...seeks to capitalize on a ruling earlier this month from an 11th Circuit panel which unanimously granted the government’s request to exclude about 100 documents with classification markings from the special master review. Prosecutors suggest that decision may have created a precedent that undermines Cannon’s essential rationale for the review.

it’s obvious Loose Cannon has been bought

Is she a judge, or Trump’s defense attorney?

To be fair, the special master (which I have no understanding why Trump's defense team picked other than being stupid, which was evident after their initial filing that was poop on stick) is over stepping his bounds with many, not all, but many of his decisions.

But to be even more fair, there shouldn't have been a special master appointed this late in the proceedings.

And to be even more more fair, Judge Cannon shouldn't have any jurisdiction here. This is like when a Family Court judge ruled that gay spouses for the City of Houston don't get benefits even after Obergefell (that was eventually struck down).

And this last point is funny because I think it's something the special master brought up. And he's legally correct, lol. But he's normally not supposed to bring that up. Well, here's the legal weird part. A special master doesn't bring up that issue, but judge can. And he's as senior federal judge. Still have no idea why the Trump team didn't just ask for a non-judge as a special master.

Why isn't this lying traitor locked up already? The secrets were stolen, and who knows to whom he sold them.

The Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978 does not list the punishment. ... so that would likely fall into the stearnly-worded-letter category.

My biggest concern is those 40 odd empty folders marked classified ... or to be precise what was in those folders. Job One for the DoJ and FBI is to identify what is still missing from those folders. Trump should be made to assist here or go straight to jail, since it was his custodial duty to safe keep the classify documents he stole. DoJ has to assume that any missing classified documents have been sold to the highest bidder.

And this supports a thought I’ve had for some time - what makes anyone think that Trump only kept top secret documents in Mar a lago. He is a criminal. He will have docs hidden away in various places, and the government will never find them all. Mar a lago only happneed bc there is an informant. At this stage, trump is going to be guarding his secrets more closely.

The other documents are likely in buildings with the word “Trump” on them. Don’t think they’ll be hard to find.

Trump is a criminal ... but ... he is not a criminal mastermind.

If Trump had sold the stolen classified docs to the Saudis or Xi Jinping, you know that he would not be STFU about it.

That’s a big lesson the last few years have shown us. Our system just work by itself but it does take key people willing to do the right thing to keep it working.
