I try really hard to give deference to Former President’s because it is a high office of my country, the most powerful nation in the world. However, Trump can’t even keep his talking points straight anymore. Trump and Republicans claimed that the FISA warrants against Carter Page were improper and part of a wide spread conspiracy to take down Trump. Trump asks for a Special Master. Trump suggests the same Judge that granted the FISA warrant on Carter Page… the same Judge that according to Trump and his supporters is part of a conspiracy to destroy Trump. So now, magically the Judge that was in the middle of the FISA conspiracy and approved the warrants in Carter Page is the Special Master and one of the people Trump suggested is qualified and will do a good job as Special Master. They literally cannot keep their new bullshit from running over their prior bullshit. If Donald Trump really believed there was a FISA court conspiracy against him, would he now suddenly support having the same Judge named as Special Master? It makes about as much sense as windmills causing cancer, Ukraine and not Russia responsible for election interference, the Clinton body count, Obama spying on Trump, support for Q, election fraud and my favorite - the mafia is responsible for asbestos.

So ... we need a Special Master to determine if stolen property should be returned to the person who stole it, tried to hide it, and lied to investigators? I do not understand the point of it especially if there's definitive proof that there's classified documents. Like what's the special master supposed to do for trump to "win" or avoid trouble? Look at 10,000 documents and say nope all of dem are not classified.
What she’s doing is giving air time to the argument that “no actually former presidents are allowed to obtain classified documents” which is incorrect but allows a future trial to be tainted because Trumps defense can now say that a federal judge has already said that there are instances where former presidents have a separate set of rules that everyone else. She’s basically doing everything she can to nuke this case on behalf of Trump. It’s obstruction of justice at the highest level. She’s dumb but not dumb enough to not know what she’s doing here. What’ll happen now is Trumps lawyers will appeal whatever the special master says and kick it back to Cannon regardless so it’s really at a place where DOJ has to appeal to the 11th circuit and hope they aren’t as blatantly corrupt and they’ll take a stand that what this judge has asserted is incorrect. If they stand with Cannon that Trump actually is above the law then I think DOJ is pretty much done and we now get to live in a world where Trump still has some pretty insane presidential powers even while unelected. Given how the right is seemingly all in on becoming an autocratic ruling party moving forward I guess these Trump judges doing this and changing the makeup of our country’s power system is right in line. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the 11th circuit does the right thing here or if they are in the tank for Trump as much as Cannon is.
I agree with much of this but I also don’t think the special master will make much of a difference. The FBI has already reviewed all the material and they weren’t likely to prosecute until after the midterms.

Also strange since Trump's legal team never made the claim that they were declassified. She just put that in herself.
Gee, I wonder why. She graduated from Michigan Law School in 2007, had no prior experience as a judge, but fit the profile of Trump's nominees: young and with ties to the Federalist Society, a conservative legal organization.
She's obviously in Trump's pocket. What a sham, Trump's team worked so hard to get her to be the judge for a reason.
