Don't Republican, all, Christians believe that money is the root of all evil? Mixing money and politics is terrible for our great country and no one wants to do anything about it except arrest some individuals. Laws need to change!

I'm with you. I didn't like Citizens United, but the problem is much, much deeper than that. The problem has landed us really in an oligarchy. No matter our political leanings, (e.g. Obama and the Dems have been waaaay too cozy with Silicon Valley), we have to admit that as a first step to fixing things.

Or perhaps you just don't see that what I'm saying is true because you are such a partisan. I mean, this board is tilted pretty far to the left, so by comparison I may not appear to be a neutral party simply because I don't suffer from Trump derangement syndrome like the vast majority here, but in reality I'm pretty neutral. I didn't support Trump even during the primary when many here who now suffer from Trump derangement syndrome were hoping he'd win the nomination. I didn't support Trump in the main election, and I didn't vote for the guy. Again, you guys leaning pretty far to the left doesn't mean that I'm not a neutral party.

If anything, I'd view Trump being impeached as a good thing. He can't possibly win another presidential election unless you guys on the left are stupid enough to nominate someone as awful as Hillary again, and I would hope you guys would have learned that lesson by now. If Trump runs for re-election, I worry that it would be an even bigger sh*t show than the last election and for the sake of the country, we have to do better.

Amen. The oligarchy does not care about our social issues. Just that they are given preferential treatment.

Hey, does anyone remember the name of Trump's former campaign chairman? Whatever happened to that guy?

Looks like Manafort and Papadopoulus were "acting" like Russian agents. Do Russian agents normally announce to their "marks" that they are foreign agents. I wouldn't think so there needs to be more evidence of folks otherwise it just looks like Trump's campaign and administration were infiltrated unbeknownst to them.

The fact that Manafort work with Podesta/Clinton at one point gives me more proof that they "mark" whomever they think would win or have influence. That doesn't mean Podesta/Clinton knew but again just integrated by "domestic agents" representing/on behalf of foreign state.

Add it all up and you have a group of bad people who for money do terrible things including working as/acting as foreign agents. Terrible crime they should pay for but not all that uncommon. We've seen that many times before. Off the top of my head I can think of Robert Hansen, David Boone, the Cuban FBI chick I forget her name, and many many more that I can't remember their names. To be fair we've had our very fair share of foreigners spying on our behalf too.

Point is this looks like typical, embedded, espionage. Not sure arresting a few money hungry corrupt folks has any real lasting impact or changes.

Exactly! Having all that money injected into politics brings out the worst of the worst because they want to get their hands on some of it. Not sure how or if you can fix it but money + politics is a recipe for disaster.

He won't honor bets, because Russian trolls don't have honor.

And he won't run away from our otherwise wonderful community, because Russian trolls get paid (or are totally owned by the farm).

Well she's wrong about that but read my other post. It's not a crime to be infiltrated by a foreign agent. It's terrible and makes you wonder how the hell these folks were cleared to begin with.

I mean, I started an IT consulting firm and do tons of work for Federal Agencies and Federal Contractors. The **** my team and I have to go through to get clearances is intense. Do campaign and administration staff not have to go through the same things? A simple Credit Report, Background Check, Clearance Investigation, any of those would have turned up some questionable items for these folks. Unless they didn't do those thing then Trump and his team is 100% liable for lackadaisical vetting of staff and should be called out on that. Not sure if a crime but you don't want vetting policies like that at the highest office.

The Russian collusion story is collapsing...all they could surface is that Manafort avoided taxes years ago?

Conspiracy to commit a crime against the US would be the legal term for collusion crimes. Where the "crime" is lacking in what we've seen up to this point is the Hillary dirt/email exchange flowing from the Russian arm through the Trump campaign, or vice versa. We have promises of dirt, and now emails, but we haven't seen the information exchange hands yet. At least that's how I've seen it.

Ex: if there was another email from Don Jr. after the meeting that said "Tell Natalia V.... thank you, I got her manila folder with the copies of Hillary's emails" then Don Jr. is now guilty of conspiracy as it regards to the illegal hack.

To your point, as we are highly unlikely to have that type of level of stupid from Trump folks in writing, following the money would be the best way to prove a transfer of value in connection with the crime.

    ..............

Also I have to note to those saying "oh look at those liberals hyperventilating about nothing".... if you would have told me 6 months ago that here in the first year of his presidency, we'd have 2 indictments, and one guilty plea, the email evidence of coordination directly from Kremlin arms with phrases like "If its what you say it is I love it", and that this investigation was coming from Trump's own DOJ, I'd tell you "you are crazy". If you take a step back, this is far beyond anything I would have imagined we'd ever see. Just incredible.

The folks like RussianLegend and Texx are showing their true colors that they are nothing but trolls working on behalf of Trump's propaganda campaign. Its insane that anyone would ever take them seriously after their comments just a minute ago.
