Good. Everyone with unclean hands should be harshly punished. Collusion may not be a crime, but just the act of working in concert with a known U.S. foe makes the whole thing smell worse than horse manure.

If the dude who is cooperating with Mueller has hard evidence of Trump involvement he is in real jeopardy.

Trump's attitude and overall lack of intelligence makes me think he could have been used as a state puppet. Not quite an installed and aware puppet but an unwitting puppet after he shocked the entire world and won. His bizarre pro-Russian stance stems from the fact that he's too stupid to come up with policy himself and just listens to everything someone he trusts tells him.

That's the scenario I see because Trump is an low-IQ idiot. These guys that are getting caught, these guys are conniving, smart, infiltrating (both sides apparently), agents. Trump is not on that level. He's not an intellectual or willing accomplice if you know what I mean. That said, that fact that is campaign and administration were so easily penetrated means that he has no business leading. Also means his advisers that help build teams could be in on it too.

I think there is enough info already to prove Trump is an "accomplice" but willing or unwilling remains to be seen. Like I mentioned already, to Trump is too stupid to be on that level of espionage. The man has a 70 word vocabulary for godsakes. Trump is the guy who gets duped into driving the getaway car on a bank robbery all the while unbeknownst to him what the hell is happening.

The George P. thing is much worse than the Manafort and Gates news. Manafort and Gates were allegedly foreign agents who lied about it, laundered money, worked on behalf of foreign powers etc. That's bad but it's still alleged.

George P. pled guilty. That isn't alleged, it is now confirmed. He lied to the FBI about it. He admits the Trump campaign was indeed attempting to work with Russians to get dirt on Hillary.

What's worse was that Trump's administration has lied about the Papadopoulos connection with the Trump campaign. The Trump administration flat out lied about that. Why would they feel the need to lie? Papadopoulos has now confirmed that the Trump campaign was indeed working with the Russians to try and win the election. We will just have to wait and see what other information Papadopoulos gives before we know anything close to the whole story.

All in all, it was a horrible day for Trump and for those that have defended Trump claiming that there was no evidence.

I mean, I'm glad there's still a lot of reasonable patriots who support Trump. But whenever I skim the Donald subreddit or other supporter platforms, it sounds like insanity to me. And yeah, f'ing go Astros!

He may have wanted to both send a message (to other individuals under investigation) and make sure that the headline was about Manafort (and Gates).

According to the Post, Papa-D was sending emails in the open - with more people than Trump in the CC.

Mueller's team is being hyper aggressive. It has been disclosed that they won a judicial order compelling a lawyer for Manafort and Gates to testify in a grand jury proceeding. The judge ruled that the attorney privilege did not apply in that the attorney was duped into the furtherance of a crime.

I hope this all blows over and doesn’t become too serious. BigTexxx may not have much to post about if this keeps up. Between the 55% Trump approval rating thread and all the ones about this investigation.

Perhaps someone could bump the Trayvon Martin thread so he can relish his death a bit more for old time’s sake.

Hmmm, so you are suggesting that Mueller recuse himself as a conflict of interest? Interesting strategy, what right-wing blog did you pick that off of?

These indictments are horrible for this country. I don't want Trump to go to jail as terrible of a president as he is, because the ramifications of that is so damaging to our country. If Trump committed crimes, he must pay. But if he did not, then he should be vindicated.

I know you're being sarcastic but it's a good question. they've been on this manafort guy for years and years but never pulled the trigger. Just let him keep wrecking shyt up for money. I'm glad they're talking all of these guys down but an honest question is why?

Part of me thinks it's better to know what bad dudes are doing and who they are doing it for rather than arrest them and have new folks replace them. New folks that you have no intel on or who they work for.

If that's true that brings the question again, why take that risk and do it now? Maybe the prize this time (more than just one corrupt foreign agent) is worth losing all of that intel and having to start over.

I saw this too. We know that Michael Flynn broke laws and would seem to be a sure bet for one of these but geez... 3 more already this early in an investigation. Even if Trump finds a way to fire Mueller through a Saturday night massacre and Paul Ryan cowers, this is enough to severely hamper a presidency moving forward. And if Ryan doesn’t act after how can the American people have any faith in the rule of law in this country if the president is allowed to act above it?

Just my advice to Trump fans if you care about enacting a hard right agenda (if we assume Trump doesn’t fire Mueller anytime soon)... get Trump out of office as soon as you can and hope Pence comes out of this with the ability to take over quick and move fast on the agenda you guys care about.

But don’t take my advice and keep hitching your wagon to Trump. That’ll work out well.
