[BREAKING] All LAUSD schools closed due to threat of backpack bomb

Yes it was different than NY since less than 60 miles away we just had a terrorist attack. The proximity of that attack is one of the different circumstances surrounding the threat, and makes conditions here different than those in NY.

I'm not saying it was an actual attack, just that the circumstances and how to proceed were different in LA than in NY

Well I was NY guy before I was an LA guy. I'm not controlling anything. I could know next to nothing or be an expert and it wouldn't matter either way.

Even if it is completely a hoax, that doesn't mean that knowing what they knew at the time, they made a wrong decision.

 

Your first clue to whether a bomb threat is a hoax is that actual bombs aren't preceded by an email threat like an episode of 24.

That email reads like a hoax.

 

Maybe as an ex-Muslim you would have a better idea. Would it be common for a Muslim to use 'allah' instead of 'Allah'?

If that's not a big deal then never mind, but the email did have the name of God written with the lowercase 'a' instead of the upper case.
