Commodore just can't acknowledge facts. He grasps at the bit trying to defend an insurrection. I don't doubt he was pissed off that Trump wasn't illegally put back into power and that he cheered on the violence that day. Don't doubt it at all.

 

In certain circles you're free to attack and insult teams of female athletes (U.S. women's World Cup), minority athletes (Kaepernick, LeBron, Griner), veterans, the disabled, non-whites, non-Christians, etc., etc. But neo-Nazis and White "patriot" types that attempt to overturn a free and fair election... not so much.

Doubt it's anything sinister. They're talking about massive amounts of video and computer savvy isn't the first thought that comes to mind when you say House of Representatives. They probably need more time to figure out how to serve it without crashing their servers.

 

Like Commodore, they are searching through 40,000 hours of video to find the scenes with people walking, and appearing non-violent, and not those of sickos taking a dump on the floor, trashing stuff, beating and spraying cops, battering cops with flags, carrying zip ties and screaming to kill people, bashing through windows, or squeezing and crushing cops in doors. They also have to filter out scenes of themselves looking terrorized with fear, hiding behind chairs, or running to safety from the mob.
