Money and power gave Trump a sense of invincibility his whole life. Green is the primary color that tilts the scales of justice in favor of the Trumps of this country, much more than the colors black or white. Connections to people in high places of power has always tilted the scales of justice in favor of those at the top. Many, like Trump don't just break the laws once, but often live their lives taking advantage of others, or breaking the law.

The the biggest problem I have with pardons by Presidents is when they are used as political favors and loyalty to their white collar criminal friends and associates, who were guilty as hell. That's different than pardoning someone who was framed, or convicted unjustly, convicted without evidence, or convicted out of pure racial hate, like so many thousands in the past.

I want to see Trump convicted. It's not because he's a Republican, but because he's a seditionist traitor. It's because of the shear volume of crimes he committed to steal the election.. It's because of the brazen attack on our Democratic Election process to stay in power. It's because he's a compulsive lying pompous and sociopathic entitled twat, who doesn't care who he hurts to get what he wants. It's because he committed acts of fraud and deceit, and planned ways to take power if he lost, regardless of whether they were legal or not.

He's a fraud in business, a fraud in politics, and a fraud in his personal life. Even now, he spreads his filthy lies, toots his horn about how wonderful and smart he is, and begs for money. It's time to for justice to serve as it should, without the scales tipped to allow people like Trump to get out of jail free card, just because he's still running for President.

Have you joined the crowd of not verifying the tweets you post? The person he's talking about who wasn't added. Was busted by the FBI, cooperated, and has since been riddled with death threats to him and his family because of posts like the one you are spreading here.

Also there were some other factors involved with the guy who broke the window.

So he is a moron for speaking the truth that Trump won?

The guy gave 10 years of his prime life to fight for the truth.

    I call him a patriot.

Domenic Pezzola gets to spend the next 10 years in Club Fed, thinking about his bad life decisions ... or not.

By that logic he could go out and kill people since the government sent him to kill people in war and the people who sent him were never charged.

@basso, @Commodore, and so many MAGA supporters are really against the Court's sentencing. I don't ever recall them being against Court sentences or prosecution overreach until Trump, his associates, and his supporters started being held accountable for their actions. This is yet another example of wanting one set of rules for themselves and another set of rules for everyone else.

commodores posts here are nothing more than trying to whitewash domestic terrorists. seems like he is not too far away from becoming one himself.

commodore and basso really going to the mat for domestic terrorists and white supremacists who beat up cops and tried to overthrow our government. pretending that the only thing they did was protest and break a window...party of law and order, my ass.

yall are pathetic...almost as pathetic as that trump insurrectionist who cried like a baby at his sentencing and said he was wrong and will now stay out of politics only to say "trump won" when he got out of the courthouse. judge should double his sentence.

all those insurrectionists and those who incited them are all getting off way lighter than they should. they are lucky that trumps favorite president andrew jackson was not in charge. he would have hung them all.

I believe there are legitimate concerns around punitive sentencing and potential prosecutorial overreach. However, I have limited sympathy for those who forcibly rushed past police barricades and broke into the Capitol, hoping to keep Trump as president and overturn a democratic election. If history teaches us anything, it's that this group cannot be taken lightly and should receive lengthy sentences, especially those who have not shown genuine remorse. Democracy and the peaceful transfer of power are far too important to be treated lightly. Democracies cannot afford leniency toward extremists who resort to violence to hold or take power - that is the enduring lesson from the light sentences given to Hitler and his co-conspirators after their failed Beer Hall Putsch (coup).

Yes, if a person doesn't attack every police officer they see, that means they didn't do anything else at all and can't possibly bet Domestic terrorists, even though they were illegally in the government building and part of the mob that attacked numerous law enforcement personnel, threatened to hang the Vice President, brought guns on the capitol grounds and swore they would have killed Pelosi and Pence. But because they walked by a couple of other cops, they don't deserve to be held accountable.
