    Trump needs to go - not in two weeks, but tomorrow. He needs to be gone. Pence and the GOP, his aides, have to kick him out Jan 7th

    If the goal is to calm the nation, do you think that's a smart idea? I mean on principle he should, but him being prematurely removed might accelerate the flames.

    Did you see his statement?

    Trump cannot calm the nation. He clearly is incapable of stopping this and his statement just made things worse. One of the primary duties of the President of the United States is for the safety and security of this country. He can't perform that duty and under the 25th Amendment when a President cannot perform their duties the VP and a majority of Cabinet can remove him.

    The Capital and DC PD don't have the manpower to arrest this many people. Further I suspect that there may be a fear among LE that these people might be better armed than them.
